After spending several months with WMP12 on Windows 7, I've come to the conclusion that it's not really worth keeping if it's going to constantly spit an "outdated driver" popup at me everytime I open the program while any USB-plugged device is attached to my PC.
I know MS have provided an official way to get rid of WMP through the Windows Features option, but at the same time I'd like to make sure I keep all the necessary MTP drivers so I can still browse the contents of my Android phone (a Galaxy S4 in this case).
Having looked around, I can't seem to find many messages explaining the connection between MTP and the Windows Media framework. Anyone here have better knowledge of what one can and can't do upon removing WMP? As long as I'm still allowed to use Explorer to browse my Android device contents it should be all good.
Forum for anything else which doesn't fit in the above forums. Site feedback, random talk, whatever, are welcome.
