Why if you can just obtain them from M$, since there is a list here which ones are available from M$ they don't need a secondary download location for them, IMO.

Xable, all of the hotfixes in http://hotfixes.xable.net are hotfixes that are only available per request thru Microsoft right? And also those that are not presently available in Ryan's pack?
fluid, yes seen as ryans pack mainly has public hotfixes in it.
The idea of that share is, a place to store requested hotfixes so people who need them/have them can share
It`s not a place where people can download the lot and integrate them all, you will most likely have problems.
By all means get them all if you simply must have... but i strongly advise you not to install the lot.
Use ryans pack instead.

@DisabledTrucker,
I'm going to implement Sereby's hotfix installation method in some future version of the Dutch Update Pack, so I need complete hotfix installer packages. Requesting them is a hell of a job and I only managed to get a couple of language specific hotfixes so far.
Xable makes it a bit easier for the Update Pack maintainers, and furthermore it would be a relief to Ryan to have all hotfixes available at one place, other than his crashing RAID computer

Does anyone know a site that publishes a list of request only hotfixes? I think it was posted here but know I can't find it.
Also take a look at this. Not sure if you already know this.

Xable:
I searched KB903648 at MS and found that it is a Windows 2003 hotfix. The XP version of it is KB890048. I think that is why I can't integrate it.
XP hotfixes that I can't integrate:
1. KB887822 - I think this is not a post SP2 update. But I'm not sure.
2. KB818043
3. KB890841
I tried to integrate them on a XP CD with only SP2 on it with no hotfixes except those 3 and still no luck. Can anyone confirm this?

I can understand that too, but I still don't see why anyone would need to have a backup of the files which are readily and easily available from Microsoft's website in a seperate location, all you'd have to do is point to the location from microsoft to download them and install them, this way you're assured you're getting the correct files and no hacked versions. As far as the ones which can only be obtained by request I do see a reason for having a back up of those files elsewhere as they are harder to obtain.hp38guser wrote:@DisabledTrucker,

Once you know the location of the files, which you obviously do, because you point to them at the top of this thread, then all you have to do is point the installer to the file and download it, if that's what your trying to do. If you must repackage them like Ryan is doing, then you'll of course have to have a local copy of the file on your computer to work with anyways. I wasn't talking about the files such as Xable has posted which are by request only, I was referring to the comment someone said about also including the ones which are freely available from Microsoft with a knowlege of the KB code to obtain them. Not the ones you specifically have to call Microsoft up and ask them for.
