It's been a while since last version and I think it's time for something new
For the past six months I tried to code something more or less and got some good effects
First, the new features:
1. atmzzrSystemCheck will check for it's new version and notify if an update is available. A popup will be displayed and an update icon with description (on the left)
2. atmzzrSystemCheck will check for the latest Flash, Shockwave, Silverlight, AIR and Java, compare it with the installed versions and notify about the state and possibility of updates
3. atmzzrSystemCheck may be run in offline mode (with /offline switch) without update checking
4. In case of no internet connection or network error it will work in offline mode
5. The configuration .ini file now supports a new feature - own background image file
Other fixes and improvements:
6. Updated help popup by adding desctiption of the /offline switch
7. Fixed display style and position - used code is more simple
8. Fixed a bug with closing after using /? switch - it hanged in processes
9. Other code optimization
10. Launched a website for the project and updates
Read the first post for the website, download, changelogs and more info

I've asked this before. Is it possible to add a separate check and indication for DirectX 9C, in addition the later versions of DirectX? I ask because the installation of DirectX 9C is now separate and independent of the installation of later versions, yet I beleive that for some older games DirectX 9C is required for proper operation.
Thanks in advance for the consideration. This is a very neat and useful tool.

Thank You guys, good to hear/read it works
bphlpt - I've considered DirectX 9.0c detection for newer OSes before but wasn't sure how to do that. Yesterday I've got a new idea and manage to code it
Since DX 9.0c is optional for newer OSes (I mean higher than XP because you can install the June 2010 redistributable or from web installer on every higher version to get files that are not included in the OS) if it will be detected a hint will appear when you hover the DX version field. Think this is enough and also it will be noted in .txt log.
Also there was a small bug with Flash ActiveX update detection/notification in Windows 10 and it's fixed.
So here is the v3.1:
- added DirectX 9.0c detection for newer OSes
- fixed Windows 10 Flash Player ActiveX update
- some cosmetic improvements

ChiefZeke the error is probably caused by your WMI, it accours when atmzzrSystemCheck tries to check its update. Use Tweaking.com Windows Repair AIO and choose to repair only the WMI. This should help

Java Version Check Question
automizzer what version of Java are you looking for? I have 8.0.91 installed and it shows red that I am not up to date.

compstuff - Oracle releases Java in two branches - CPU and PSU -> read more here and here. I always install the PSU release so atmzzrSystemCheck checks for this one. Hover the red LED and the hint will appear suggesting v8u92 download. Click and download
ChiefZeke - try the newer tool included in the AIO app as I posted earlier

Don't know why Java RE is not listed, have Java 8 Update 102 Build 04 32/64 bit installed.
@automizzer, could I ask a favor? You display so much great information it no longer all fits in the display window on the screen. On mine, the resulting info displayed starts with "Type: 64-bit (x64)" and goes on from there. So, yes, I know it displays all of the information I need, and I can always just save the info as a text file to my desktop if I really want to see it all, but it is just a little annoying. Options I can think of would be to either: make the window bigger, or allow the window to be manually enlarged, or allow the window maximize button to function, or add a vertical scroll bar. Do you think that any of those options could be implemented, perhaps even optionally through a switch? I don't want to distract from the elegant design you have. Your thoughts?
@Chief, I don't have the problem you have with Windows 7:

The VC++2015 files downloaded back on 13 Apr 16 - again from Microsoft - separate x86 and x64 files - sorry I can't provide download location.
Thanks for the info.

I think this updated contributed to my Win7 issues.
I did not.
I reinstalled my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 system from scratch just last week, as painful and time consuming as that was. After the initial install with an original MSDN SP1 source I installed all of the drivers for every piece of hardware I thought I might use with this machine. Then I used maxtorix's Missed Features Installer to add in almost everything he offered. Then I used WHD with abbodi1406's update list and his updates installer script with the "without KB3125574" option omitting only the updates having to do with WAT and Windows 10 (7 updates altogether). Then I let WU/MU update anything it thought it needed to (another almost 100 updates) while hiding language packs and the 7 updates mentioned above. I also added anything else I thought was missing, such as other runtimes, etc. At this point WU/MU says I have 689 updates installed.
The system does not pass SFC at this point, but it did up until sometime during the MU/WU process. I have heard that many folks systems that were created or updated with KB3125574 don't pass SFC either, and every other test I run or app I try to install work just fine, and my system is quicker and more stable than it's ever been, so I'm willing to live with things as they are.
By the way, my VC++ 2015 is now at 14.0.24123.0, but my .NET 4.6, while updated, is still below yours at 4.6.01532.

It's been a while again
but the new version has arrived
The reason of issue described by bphlpt (read) is that the window of atmzzrSystemCheck has a constant width/height size (300/718) which was enough on most of my testing machines to fit in. The static size includes the window border (variable depending on OS and theme) also some scaling of fonts and buttons can make the content out of this range. There was a protection in previous versions for app window going out of screen: when the display height resolution is less than 718 the window is resized to available screen height and a vertical scroll is added (posted here). So now it checks the size of content in the window and if it's too big to fit - a vertical scroll is also added.
I also resolved a small glitch that when the scrolls were added in 2 described above scenarios the content was centered in the window now it's displayed from the top.
Adobe provides two different versions of Flash ActiveX for Windows <8 and >7 and the version was mostly the same - lately there was .209 for 8 and above and .210 for 7 and below so now those 2 versions are separately checked for an update.
Update to v3.2 is recommended because v3.1 will no longer work properly (i mean the runtimes update feature) due to changes on the server
So here is the v3.2:
- added vertical scrollbar when window content gets out of its range
- fixed window display from top when scrollbar is added
- improved Flash Player ActiveX update detection

This must be because of a problem created by either the "cumulative" and/or your AV. It works fine with my Win7 SP1 x64 Ultimate. The only time I had any problems with this app since it was created was due to my AV at the time that sandboxed it. I know you say that you disabled the AV/sandbox for this program and it was unsuccessful, but have you tried to COMPLETELY disable (temporarily) any and all of the AV and firewall systems that you have on that system, not just trusting that un-checking the "real-time' box will work, (Windows will complain that you are unprotected/unsafe of course), reboot and made sure that they are still not on, and tried running atmzzrSystemCheck as an administrator then? That's the only thing I can think of. Good luck!ChiefZeke wrote:Must conclude there is still a problem here with the check and my Win7.

Checked Wikipedia: Sandbox is a term I've heard but nothing I've ever knowingly used. All of my operating systems are in the real world. If that is a misunderstanding of the term then someone will have to provide an explanation.
Even if your OS is installed "in the real world" it is possible to run something in a sandbox. For example, some AV include a provision to automatically run apps in a sandbox if the app is not recognized as a known valid and safe app. COMODO Internet Security is one such AV. Google "COMODO sandbox" for more info if you like.ChiefZeke wrote:Checked Wikipedia: Sandbox is a term I've heard but nothing I've ever knowingly used. Anyway, it doesn't seem like that is your issue, but I don't know what else to suggest. You are the only one I am aware of that is having this problem with Win7. And the fact that it is working fine for you with your other OS makes it more confusing.
As an extreme, you could always make another very, very basic install of Win7 SP1 x64 Ultimate, no AV enabled, no tweaks, no added apps, to save you time maybe not even updated (except maybe .NET - I forget whether any .NET functions are required for the app), and see if it runs then. If it does, then at least it would convince you that it is SOMETHING that happens in your "normal" install that is the culprit.
Cheers and Regards

Hi, v3.3 is out due to changes in Adobe and Oracle products
1. Adobe changed updates of flash ActiveX for Windows 10 and recently atmzzrSystemCheck was showing the wrong versions - should be ok now.
2. Oracle changed JRE in the way that when only x86 or only x64 was installed atmzzrSystemCheck detected that both were installed - needed a new method.
So here is the v3.3:
- new Java detection mechanism
- fixed Windows 10 Flash Player ActiveX detection
- code cleanup
Go to the first post for the website, download, changelogs and more info

No, it is online but after my hosting providers inconvinient changes the app can't connect to it...
Only way is to re-code the updater part again. Already working on it and a new version will be released next week so check here or on my website since the updater in current version will not work
very annoying situation...

Re:
Hi,
I managed to fix the updater issue after changes made by my hosting provider disabling the feature. I believe they are still working and changing something so if you get any offline status just try again and blame the hosting for now
So here is the v3.4:
- fixed the updater after www hosting changes

Hi automizzer,
I'm trying to run the program but your website is currently down. It says it's "sleeping" when you visit it. I think maybe it ran out of bandwidth.
Thanks

Re: atmzzrSystemCheck v3.4 [Check installed runtimes versions]
I caught a bug right now! Yay!
Just updated Java to 8u192 but atmzzrSystemCheck v3.4 thinks it's 8u19 !!!
The reason for the bug is that Oracle gave java.exe's hexadecimal FileVersion the value 8.0.192.12, instead of 8.0.1920.12, which would be the value corresponding to those in the previous versions. On the other hand, the string FileVersion has the expected value of 8.0.1920.12, as usual, but atmzzrSystemCheck .hta uses the hexadecimal, not the string FileVersion to decide the Java version. See:

Re: atmzzrSystemCheck v3.4 [Check installed runtimes versions]
Yeah, I am aware of this bug
surprisingly v8u191 has good version number and 192 doesn't
There is going to be a new version just to correct u192 bug (in few days) because I will need to release a new one in 2019 anyway with new java detection function...
Final java 8 will be released in january and nobody knows what will be after that. Java 11 is only x64 and only jdk without jre (it's included though) also Oracle seems to be more chaotic in their releases + randomly versioned files like 191 & 192 make java detection quite hard to be correct for every release.
Stay tuned

Re: atmzzrSystemCheck v3.4 [Check installed runtimes versions]
Hi,
As I said before I have fixed the Java v8u192 detection
also earlier (since last update) I was playing with the code from time to time and as a bonus in this release atmzzrSystemCheck detects Windows 10 build version in 'Version' section (instead of RTM)
Also improved Visual C++ detection for version 14 - it would be labeled 2015 or 2017 depending on installed version
So here is the v3.5:
- added build version detection for Windows 10
- fixed Java detection
- improved VC++ 2015/2017 detection
- improved .Net Framework detection

Re: atmzzrSystemCheck v3.5 [Check installed runtimes versions]
Can you please change the detection algorithm for Adobe Air?
On XP, the last working version should be 29.0.0.112, and it should not offer anything newer.

Did You try to extract the latest AIR installer with 7zip and run setup.msi from extracted folder? Guess this should work but not quite sure...
Unfortunately those who stayed on XP till now have to deal with it on their own
