Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
how about just BREAKING the link ... as in place extra spaces in it, like we do on 8chan?
Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
Should also works, yes.
The idea is blocking web crawlers to visit the link.

Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
check that, see what you think
Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
You might as well post it like that:
drive.google .com/open?id=1G-U_plr-xHGxNZNL XoFiw4I9PkTQEwvz (remove the two spaces)
As the https is automatically added by the browser once pasted in the address bar.
I've added a space in the unique ID as well for a better security.

Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
i found 'explorer.exe' error.
when i create a new file using "right click --> New --> Text Document" ..... windows explorer crash.
this crash bug also happen while copying (using Ctrl+C) file with extension .bak, .apk
... even in Windows XP Safe Mode
is it possible to fix using "sfc/scannow" ?
it ask for Windows XP installer CD, and will replace windows files with original SP3 files

Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4

and then 'windows explorer' suddenly crash.
i dont know if this error happened only in my PC, or anybody found this bug too?
i believe no virus in my Windows XP SP4 v3.1b
if i scan using sfc /scannow, then my SP4 will be replaced by SP3

Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
The way I understood it, and it has been a while since I've run XP, if you run sfc /scannow from within your running SP4 system, any files that are replaced are pulled from files stored during the OS installation process. If you installed SP4, then replaced files should be those from SP4. The only reason that SP3 files would be used is if you boot from your XP SP3 CD and run sfc /scannow from it. Otherwise, where would it find SP3 file unless you supply them? Isn't that the way it's supposed to work? Or am I wrong?

Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
hy bphlpt, ghost,,, thanks for your respond.
i just try to edit registry and manually put new 'Key' in 'HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT'.
I simply manually create new key ".apk" and ".bak",,, and define some note in 'value data'
and it SOLVED now !!!
maybe it bug from Windows XP, ,,,, i think 'Windows Explorer' crashed because can not identify what kind of type files.
Weird bugs but easy to solved... thanks again everyone

Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
I'm having an issue with Windows Update constantly prompting me to install KB4486463, even after it supposedly already successfully installed. Not sure if it would be related to the Gh0stPak at all. I tried uninstalling the update from Add/Remove Programs, but after it reinstalls, it goes right back to prompting me to install it again.
Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
Someone else was having this same issue, in another forum, but had nothing to do with Gh0stpack. I will look for it later and see if I can recommend a fix ... Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
What kind of CPU does your computer have?
The KB4486463 this file will only be used on multi-processor systems (multiple cores or processors). So if you have a single core cpu, its not needed and thus you can HIDE this update in WU list!
If you are trying to install this when the operating system is in a VIRTUAL MACHINE, then it will be viewed as a single core.

Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
Let we hope that @harkaz will release new version of its 'Service Pack 4' that will include all updates/hotfixes released till April 9, 2019 - the EOL date of Windows XP Embedded which is the last EOL of all other XP-based OSes.

Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
Let we thank shhnedo for this excellent reply. I was thinking of replying myself yesterday, but I couldn't have said it any better

Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
Excellent topic. Great information here. Thank you!
Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
Looks like there will be two more updates tot he Gh0stpak (mar-apr). Might possibly be some edits in May.
Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
I concur, but as there has been no "reliable and smart KernelEx" development, we may only expect that harkaz "will create a post-SP4 update pack/post-SP4 live installer (two separate files) at Windows XP second EOL - in May 2019" as he has stated.
Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
Just updated the Gh0stPak to 17Mar19!
Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
anyone alive in here? one more month ...
Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
Yep I'm alive
be great to have one complete sp4.exe w/xp & Pos updates complete. the size of the sp4 would be better if it were smaller in size tho but probable cant be.anyways thank you for the updates GHOst.

Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
no prob ... we will have to see what Harkaz wants to do with it after next months updates
Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
I got them all installed and they feel fine. Will start work on final pack tomorrow, assuming no one sees a problem with the final updates
Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4

How to make a XP SP4 install USB? i am trying to use Media Creation Tool but it doesn't recognize the ISO
P.S a few folks suggested rufus but it's not working in my case. UUByte ISO Editor is the right one: https://www.uubyte.com

Rufus is your friend ... use nLite to make your new ISO, then burn ISO to USB drive with Rufus
Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4

Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
Yeah, doing it now ... wondering if there are more CUSTOM released updates
I just did a fresh install, to make sure I got them all ... and I do! A trip to MS update, shows I have them all ... using uSP4 and the Ghost pak.

Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
P.S. are there any more Custom updates, that came out of CIA vault leaks?
Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
You can find all custom updates here:
http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com ... ows+XP+SP3
Sort the list by "Last Updated" and on the first and second pages you will find all updates that have been released after 2014.
Updates have names as:
"Security Update for Windows XP SP3"
"Security Update for Windows XP Embedded SP3"
"Security Update for Windows XP SP3 for XPe"
where "SP3" is part of the name of the product that is target of the update.
Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
Thanks maxtorix, I have been using that site since I started working on this GH0st Pak. I got everything I need now, verified ... will post the next update soon. This one might be the last, assuming that MS doesn't slip another fix out for us

GH0stPak 20Apr19 ... just added the hotfix for WanaCry.
I have done five fresh installs this last week, testing everything out. This may be the FINAL version of GH0stPak, as its all there.
There is one problem, kb2564958 is present but SOMETIMES does not install itself. Not sure why. So I just manually install it from the pack first, then do the install.bat file. Installing according to my guide, to include dotnet and abbodi86's update pack, give you a full install to uSP4, which is super stable and very fast!!! Now if someone would make updated browser to go with it!
