Excellent, this pack is now perfect, now that it doesn't include those extra Systernal applications.

Don't get me wrong, Process Explorer, Regmon, and Rootkit Revealer were excellent additions but the rest were a little overkill IMO.

I was looking for this pack for a while now today because I have v1.6.0 and checking for an update... I have been searching the forums and all, because it doesn't seem to be listed on your Addon Pack page here:

Ryan, would you consider removing TweakUI from your pack and let Kel specialize in CPL add-ons?

Just wondering about possible conflicts from integrating two components from two different packs from two different authors.

Well, given that I don't use Kel's CPL addon, don't count on it. Sorry. Assuming both addons copy the files to the same spot, it shouldn't hurt anything, though. It just means you'll have a shortcut to it on your start menu and in your control panel.

I personally like it (though I wish it would remain hidden in the background instead of adding a tray icon), and I find it useful. If you're doing an unattended install, it's just one extra line to have it not start, so I don't think it's that big of a deal. Or you can always just edit R_Addons.inf and replace the original one in i386.

I am doing unnattended installs, i haven't looked into the addons creation so i'm unfamiliar with the items but i'll look into changing whatever i need to. I'm sure you want to keep your pack the way you like it.

P.S i looked and i think i just have to remove this line from the inf file.....

It's just a registry entry. You could easily remove it during your unattended install.

i have successfully integrated 2.0.5 and wmp 2.4 to my install source, and i plan to include the update pack addons, i noticed that .net 1.1 is needed, where can i find the .net 1.1 pack ? can i still include the update pack addon without the .net 1.1 ? thanks in advance..

.NET 1.1 is only needed if you're planning on using Synctoy. As for a .NET 1.1 addon, I recommend you try out the search function of this forum

I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0.0.300 with signatures date: 6/7/2006 4:46:40 PM (GMT+03:30 Tehran time). It detects the CMDOW.exe as have "Win32.HideWindows" virus on it. I'm knowing that AVG is detecting it also.
Ryan, consider removing "Virus!" from your addon. Thank.

Love your add-on packs, BUT...

Now Symantec Client Security (Corporate version of Norton Antivirus)is flagging CMDOW as a "hacking tool".

I'll usually do a bit of work on an unattended CD during downtime at work. Of corse, now that's impossible due to the fact that NAV is constantly flagging this file.

Since this program line is so wide-spread maybe this should be looked into.

Do you have any way of letting the author of CMDOW know that this is happening, and maybe he can get SYmantec to drop the "hacking tools" designation.

I wish we could drop SYmantec in favor of something else, but that's a corporate-wide decision that I have little or no input into.

I hate to see any functionality removed, but maybe a compromise is in order. Wouldn't it be easy to whip up an additional add-on that would work in tandem with yours to remove CMDOW from the mix. That way people could have it either way.

With a little more thought, I realized tha that the compromise I proposed still won't solve the issue during Disk creation, just the installation of the created disks.

I don't have an answer, but if the ANtivirus manufacturers have a common list of new viruses they pull from, that may be why a lot of them are starting to pop up with this in the last week or so.

It's an annoying problem that deserves a solution, but danged if I know what that is.
