Open WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files. There is a file (actually an activeX controller) named Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool. Right click ot it and select properties. Just look and the bottom of the page and there we go

Glad to see they finally updated the official download, but if you look closely at my update pack, you'll see that 2.0.5 already has that version integrated ;)

From the looks of it, I wouldn't be surprised if KB914882 became an official fix at some point.

That would be so annoying. Non-genuine copies of Windows would be practically screaming out: "Thief, get him ! KILL HIM !!!"

Next thing would be the desktop wallpaper getting replaced with a picture of Bill holding a gun in the face of the user...

God, so annoying... but lucky me I have genuine Windows but I am still blocking that (hmm.. rubbish, in a polite manner) on Windows update...

Like I said in the main update pack thread, the change to KB908531 is just the addition of a couple registry entries. None of the binaries of have changed.

Also, it appears that the KB905474 download fully replaces the KB892130 download (legitcheckcontrol.dll 1.5.526 comes with KB905474 as well).

What changes does the revised security update include?
The revised security update contains no changes to the binaries included in the initial security update. During installation, the revised security update will place the following entries in the allow list as indicated in Microsoft Knowledgebase Article 918165.

I'm not arguing with you, just pointing out that there's no need to upgrade if the previous release wasn't causing any problems. No files have changed with the re-release.

Sereby, Thank you.
Why not upload directly to the Xable's share?
There are many users that cannot download from rapidshare.
Also Anyone have a download link for the Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications (KB905474)?
Thank you.
