Meulc heeft in zijn updatepack alleen de zogenaamde GDR updates zitten, die dus voor iedereen van toepassing zijn. Enkele hiervan heb jij niet in die van jou zitten. Heb je dit bewust gedaan?

KB909520 is geen veiligheidsupdate maar een optionele update. Deze kan je er zelf nog bijzetten met nLite, maar dat hoeft niet perse.muiz2 wrote:KB909520 ? nu is meulc het "basispakket" en hp het "uitgebreide". het ideale zou zijn dat dit ook tot uiting zou komen in de packs, ie: meulc: enkel wat in MS update verschijnt, en hp exact hetzelfde als meulc, alleen met nog alle andere dingen erbij.

Leuk idee, maar aangezien Microsoft twee ontwikkelingstakken heeft (GDR en QFE) werkt dat niet samen. Ik persoonlijk ben voorstander van een simpel pakket met alleen de GDR fixes en andere publieke fixes met als uitbreiding daarop addons voor .NET Framework en Windows Media Player 10. wat bedoel je met "publieke fixes". komen die ook in WUpdate, of zijn dat die overige fixes die 0.001% van de gebruikers nodig heeft? Is er anders gn mogelijkheid om bijv. een basispack te maken met enkel WUpdate fixes, en daarnaast dan een pack waar die basisupdates niet inzitten, maar wel alle andere fixes (ik weet niet of je die "andere" fixes bedoelt met "publieke fixes").
Een apart .NET pack en WMP pack lijkt mij idd een zeer goed idee. Want er zijn altijd mensen die .NET en WMP niet moeten hebben.
Als alles perfect integreerbaar is met nLite zijn wij gelukkige mensen

Op een saai moment heb ik de lijst met updates van Meulc's pakketje vergeleken met dit pakketje dat na een half jaar verouderd zou zijn.
Dit is het resultaat, een kopie van de lijst van Meulc in zijn 1e post, en een * geeft aan dat díe update niet in dit pakket zit, wil je dit pakket gebruiken EN up-to-date zijn dan zou je dus de updates met een * moeten toevoegen.
2 dingen vallen me op:
1. een aantal hiervan zijn geen fixes voor Windows maar voor andere programma's (Outlook (Express) enzo).
2. Zoveel nieuwe kritieke updates zijn er helemaal niet sinds januari!

OK dus ik dacht ik gebruik deze PACK icm met de hotfixes die sinds januari zijn uitgekomen voor windows... helaas levert deze UpdatePack problemen op tijdens Windows Setup met de nieuwste nLite 1.0.1.
Kan mensen aanraden deze pack dus niet te gebruiken.
