Yah ok, RVMUpPck.inf contains a couple of "%SystemRoot%" (eight to be precise). When the Integrator edits the file these would be set to your "current" SystemRoot making a potential problem later when installing (this is true for many remove addons released as of now).marzsyndrome wrote:Should I be concerned about the ExtraFileEdits bug here? I mean all I want to do is simply use the Integrator and use this addon, not edit any variables or whatever. Am I alright there?

But we want a release without KB905474 so badly right now.
Good to hear Ryan, and no this isn't updated to support 2.0.7a yet. Might do it but 1.3 is so much fun so I must have some time to play with it.RyanVM wrote:Just so you guys know, I'll be making WGA a seperate addon for Update Pack 2.1.0. That should make everybody happy.
Correctsuperleiw wrote:so IIRC what you said, 2.1.0 will be your next update pack? (i mean no 2.0.8, etc)
This should do the trick (but I'll warn you that I haven't tested it at all).mindwarper wrote:...or anything that enables us to remove WGA notification from UpdatePack 2.0.7a
lol, I make all my addons as plain to read as possible.RyanVM wrote:(BTW Aserone, that INI was a bit of a pain to decode. Can I recommend making things a bit more easy to follow in your future releases?)
Hehe, the commented lines were "possible" shifting lines, but as it existed a bit down decided to not do it. Guess you already figured that out.RyanVM wrote:Yeah, the whole shifting up was a pain to follow at first. I would have just deleted the one extra line at the beginning to keep things in sync. Also trying to follow the commented out lines was a pain.
Just some helpful suggestions for the future
Have used Kels wga a long time ago, but if there is any reason for providing some sort of LegitCheckControl only addon I might.RyanVM wrote:Also, my addon is still going to be Notifications, so you'll still have some business if you want it (or Kel's addon will make a comeback)
I don't quite understand this part? Are you saying your "remove wga" addon in this thread still keeps the Notifications/WGATray????RyanVM wrote:Also, my addon is still going to be Notifications, so you'll still have some business if you want it (or Kel's addon will make a comeback)
Code: Select all
MAKECAB /D CompressionMemory=21 /D CompressionType=LZX
i use flashget as you know it is freeware too but i couldnt do itbuletov wrote:Try Free Download Manager... http://freedownloadmanager.org/
had the same problem as well. integrated only the 2.0.7a & the wga remove addon using integrator 1.3!RyanVM wrote:ah, so the entries aren't being removed from txtsetup.sif then. Duh, silly me. I'm really not sure why that isn't working, though, since the relevant info is in the INI file. As a temporary workaround, you can just skip that file and any other WGA files it might complain about.
Has anybody else had this problem?
Try turning off any firewalls you're running. Somehow your computer is blocking the sending of referrers.picka wrote:when i want to donwload addon , it gives forbidden error.
i have read FAQ i am still trying but there is no improvement.
what can i do more?

becouse when I use it in xp home I have this error during install and also for LegitCheckControl.DLL:
I guess with this info in mind people could simply manually modify txtsetup.sif afterwards and remove the entries themselves if they still exist afterwards....RyanVM wrote:ah, so the entries aren't being removed from txtsetup.sif then.
