I can't download the update pack. Getting this error.

I have it too, just wait a few minutes and it will be OK, probably there are too many downloads at the same time

I just went through a test run w/ 2.1.0 and I get two updates listed to download. The windows installer 3.1 v2 http://support.microsoft.com/?id=893803 and KB898461 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/KB898461

Any ideas?

Never mind...grrrr broken download.

Hi,

I am having download problems as well. I am on dialup and use IDA and have never had any problems. Today I cannot resume. I got 65% of windows media player, it stopped and now unresumable. I suppose this is a new anti leech function but it looks like it will be impossible for me to download the packs this time.

As others have said, start a new download and use that ticket to resume the old one. I've increased the ticket timeout to 180 minutes, which should hopefully alleviate the problem.

I also use IDA, like Ryan said click the download as if u were going to re-download the updatepack, and when this box pops up

Copy the new url, click close/cancell and then go to ida and right click the unfinished UpdatePack download and select proprerties and paste the new copied url over the old one, now click ok and restart the download.

if I use integrater to use wpi plugin at svcpack level, would every program install fine if it used to work fine? (I currently call WPi with runonceex, but would like to run it at svcpack for some programs I have trouble with overwriting files)

To help simplify the Update Pack, removed KB870981, KB884538, KB887170, KB887173, KB888321, KB889315, KB890463, KB890644, KB890733, KB890927, KB892627, KB893476, KB896269, KB896360, KB897649, KB898439, KB899418, KB899527, KB901026, KB901122, KB905519, KB905816, KB906232, KB906472, KB906688, KB906866, KB907870, KB912784, and KB915415 Hotfixes.

What about these updates. They dont really required.

Hey Ryan,

I repatched the shell32.dll with the new one after the update was installed and put it through the install. The same KB still shows up...Any other ideas?

Private hotfixes which are not tested enough, so with a certain chance of creating more problems then solve.

So yeah, apparently the download script was using over 10GB of memory on the machines it was on and Dreamhost had to take it down

Anyway, I've got my site updated with mirrors now for the time being.

I'm seeing the same "No entries *.ini Found, Exiting" error, with no spaces in any directory names.

It should integrate fine with nLite 1.0.1, but don't forget the nLite troubleshooting methodology if you've got problems

RyanVM I have found no problem with nlite 1.0.1 all seems to work great ..... also the down load speed is unreal for the update pack now, downloaded in about 5sec !!??

*shakes head* it never fails! I make a new ISO and BOOM once it's finished and tested u got a new update pack out.... and the media player one is updated LOL. This is like the forth road bridge, by the time u have painted it all, its time to go back to the other side and start again!!!!

Why are the themes comming up differently? I cannot find all my themes now and the ones that do come up, I can no longer change the appearance or the color scheme using Intergrator 1.4 and 2.10 pack.

edit...many themes have to be manualy installed using c:\windows\resourses\themes

hi, i just tried out RyanVM (v2.1.0 from July 14) for the first time after integrating into a fresh copy of XPSP2 on a VMware VM. After the install was done, i checked with MBSA (Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer) and it showed one critical update missing which was KB917734 for WMP9

While I can add it myself via SVCPACK.IN_ (I've learnt a lot from playing with NLite) it's weird how it went missing in the RyanVM Pack

At least the users of majorgeeks give it a good rating, but they don't credit Siginet for the Integrator.

I am using Integrator 1.4 and am trying to apply 2,10 to an untouched source.
The The XPCD source is recognized by the integrator but not
the update pack,well only as a 7s zip file.
Will the Integrator extract the file then apply it ?
When I extract it with 7zip I get a large folder not a cab file,
What am I doing wrong.
I am trying to follow your manual as this is my first time using this method
I have always created folders and modified folders manually.

The Integrator does more than copy files over; it also edits some key files to make everything work properly.

Did you rename the Update Pack?

I did not change a thing.
Since it was a compressed file and I was reasonably certain that a cab file was needed so I did extract it ,using Ryans preferred 7zip tool, never used that archive tool before.
Other than extracting it I did nothing.
Do I need to merge Service Pack 2 with XP first ?

The Integrator does all of the work, including unpacking the Update Pack archive. Just point the Integrator to your source and the Update Pack, then click the Integrate button.

1.4 now supports 7zip files along with rar and zip.

Just browse to the updatepack and the integrator does the work.

You can select a service pack to splipstream if your source is XP Gold or SP1. The Update Pack will only work properly on a SP2 source, so if your original source is earlier than that make sure you select to slipstream. The option for slipstreaming a service pack is in the File menu of the Integrator.
