I'd like to clear my comment on wmimgmt warnings from the previous thread -- 2.1.0
I installed vanilla Windows XP Corp SP2 July Edition.. and those warnings were there.. meaning the monkey stuff is on Microsoft side.
same goes to wmimgmt.msc 3.0 or whatever that was...
i've yet to confirm explorer stalling -- whether its due to kel uber or rvm... apparently enu_user posted a registry fix which appear to work at this point in time.... Certainly tho the explorer stalling issue is due to rvm / kel uber.
now, this should be integrated in..(time to learn how to make my own packs, or someone wnana do it?
i think after this is resolved, everything should be smooth sailing.

Hi Ryan,
As I have dell xp sp2 disk i integrate not Your great pack but selected hotfixes. Is there separate addon Microsoft DirectX End-User Runtimes to August 2006 Release? Would be nice to get link if You made it...As well i am looking for Macromedia Flash Player to version 9.0.16.0 as a separate addon.
Pls if it is not too much of trouble could You make them as separate addons? Or maybe I just can not find the links... Your help would be much appreciated.
Thank You very much.

KB918899 has a mshtml.dll file updated which after lots of testing is the cause of some website not acting the way they should.
I use a site that has an assistant that is always open to collect messages so you can close the main page, but when clicking to open the main website again from the assistant, nothing happens....not to sure what is causing it, all i know is replacing the mshtml.dll file with the old version fixes the issue.
if anyone else has experienced this problem, replace mshtml.dll with the older version.

No, that was just a one time deal when going from 2.0.x to 2.1.x because a bunch of files were removed from the newer pack.

Explorer Stalling is related to kelis pack and not to RYVM as i tested it as i said in the other post , Ryanvm update is ok ( slowed the system like 0.01% the same as if u update manually so its perfectly done , good job Ryan .
but i have a question i dont know how i missed that u have Updated Microsoft DirectX End-User Runtimes , so the question is : i integrated both directx and ryanvm pack knowing that your update pack got the directx so i had a duplicate ( but same version ) will this effect the system speed or anything else ?
thx

After i installed Windows with this updatepack and go to Microsoft Update, i found an High Priority Security Update : 816093: Security Update Microsoft Virtual Machine (Microsoft VM).
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/securi ... 3-011.mspx. If i try to install this update, it says that it cannot be installed because I don't have Microsoft VM. What's happening Ryan?

Don't install the Microsoft Java VM. It sucks anyway.

It's the Java Virtual Machine, read the KB article. And the problem is something on your end that you've done. XP SP2 doesn't include the MS JVM, so you have to have installed it from somewhere and it wasn't from my pack.

Ah hem! The CNN cited issues stem from a problem with URLMON.DLL and HTTP1.1 and Compressed streams. the MSHTML.DLL is an unrelated issue to that story

The problem with urlmon.dll is only with IE6 SP1 on 2000 SP4 and XP SP1. This does not affect XP SP2.

If the re-release of MS06-042 includes XPSP2, I'll do a 2.1.1a release for it.

Did you include Kels' runtimes addon?
http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1954
msjava.dll v5.0.3234.0 was added to v1.4 (now at v1.5)
If you did then I suspect that this is certainly the cause. The last official release of MS java was v5.0.3810.0.
If you really need MS Java (& some sites still do) then you can D/L a copy here:

I too have been having the same problem although I too have not installed Microsoft Virtual Machine (MS Java). It is quite irritating because each time I boot up 'Windows Auto Updates' has a message saying there are updates waiting to be installed, the update being the one in question. Ofcourse since I don't have MS Java installed the update fails. It took me a while to realize that the problem is coming from the fact that I have Kel's Runtimes Addon integrated into my unattended DVD. I guess the only solution is to stop using the addon, unless ofcourse, Kel updates the addon with the latest 'msjava.dll'.

Yes, I did. Maybe Kel will be kind to update his pack with the latest Java VM dll, because I realize now that this is the cause.
