[RELEASE] Boooggy's WMP 11 direct integration solution
It's there in the forums although admittedly it doesn't have dates:

I think you meant: http://boooggy.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4
Thanks for the replies, but I still do not find a change log for the “WMP Hotfix List”.
The first link points to the Slipstreamer Changelogs and the second one points to the Hotfix list itself.
The only way I know of to determine if the hot fixes in my update folder are current is to compare them to your list. That’s not a lot of fun

Hi booogy/n7Epsilon
I'm currently doing my own WMP11 AddOn, for learning purpose. I would like to use your reg tweaks that comes with your slipstreamer, could I ?
Thanks a lot for your work and cheers!

Kal,
Go straight to their forum: http://www.boooggy.org/forum/index.php it might be a bit faster in getting a reply.

I have looked but can't seem to locate a clear list or explanation of what the 'tweaks" are in the slipstreamer option. I have never used this option before and I would like to try it but I am wondering if the built in tweaks may have any problems with the pack of reg file tweaks I use in my runonce ...any help would be appreciated and as always THANKS VERY MUCH for this AWESOME tool

FIX: You see lower quality video when you use Windows Media Encoder 9 Series or a similar Windows Media Format SDK-based encoder to encode a video

Just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to find out what the "tweaks" are?compstuff wrote:I have looked but can't seem to locate a clear list or explanation of what the 'tweaks" are in the slipstreamer option. Can you not put a column on the list of updates on your site http://www.boooggy.org/slipstreamer/ with Update Added or a date when the update list was last updated. I often have to check through all the updates in the list just to see if one has added or removed.
A simple adition to the table will make everyones lives that little esier..lol

I used slipstreamer last this time. ..if i go back to the unslipstreamed source everything works fine!
integratrd all hotfixes besides the last one on the list ..(as on the slipstreamer's site)
i keep getting that inetcfg error during the registration phase or is it before that .. i don't remember exactly where ..
I think i had a workaround for this but forgot how . please tell me where to look or some hint how to fix this ..maybe ill start remembering something ..

yes, that's the workaround I was referring to as forgottenRogueSpear wrote:I used to use the WMPOCM=Off option in my WINNT.SIF file and had problems, but that was a long time ago. If you're using that it could possibly be causing issues as the WMP11 executable file will be made superhidden.

anyways left that as "=ON"
+
tho it wasnt on a untouched source completely but boooggys suggestion fixed it.

pb with your wmp11 slipstream. integrated over redxi pack without hotfix and wmplayer.exe is missing. look http://www.imagecross.com/04/image-host ... 8nowmp.JPG
in fact this is the order i have : redxi pack, ie7 mrnxdmx, wmp and driverpack then I use nlite to reduce the source. so I suspect nlite but I dont understand because I dont remove media player classic or anything and wmplayer.exe is still in i386 in a cab so i dont see the problem. the same thing happens with ie7: i dont have iexplore.exe in program files and when i add it manually it works...
All the other WMP11 files are there in the screenshot. Enable "show files and folders" and unhide "hide protected operating system files" in Explorer. If you can see wmplayer.exe then, you probably have have something like:
WMAccess=off
WMPOCM=off
In your WINNT.SIF file (or somewhere in nLite's options). These entries make wmplayer.exe superhidden..........

files dont show up beast and even if they were hidden windows would ask confirmation when replacing iexplore.exe and wmplayer.exe.they are in i386 and txtsetup.sif... i ve had this problem with ie7addon by nonno too but I prefer mrnxdmx addon because the icon is present on desktop. untill i add the the exe the icon is not working. I will do some more tests to see where is the problem. i ve also had a problem installing mui at the end of the install C:\Windows\PCHealth\MUI\LCID_Value\pchdt_w3.cab not found. i modified winnt sif because i found a solution in msfn forum but still dont work.
ah. I used to removed the help components. in fact I have had some problems already and I ve added hhctrl.ocx in my pack due to annoying message at login. it could effectively explain my problem (I dont use tweak in nlite- prefer to use my own reg modifs). I will retest with it. Install is already long so its better removing a lot of components.
in fact Ive got problems with both wmp and even ie7 with an empty folder and I didnt suspect nlite.I use the same source with components removed each times. Ill tell you if that settles the problem.in my last test I did it with hfslip because I suspected errors in packs...In fact I remove components because I add data in my dvd too. So basically i386, drivers and software with office2007,vlc etc... take 1.3GB. But I got also problem with booting the dvd when its full of data.(stop when checking hardware) dont know why. I remember I didnt remove so much components like help components and boogy slipstreamer worked well under xp sp2.
Sorry if I missed this info somewhere else in the thread or the forum but is their an easy way to not have a WMP11 desktop icon???
I have finally switched over to the tweaked version and have eliminated my custom reg entries but this has me stummped and the reg entries I have tried have all failed to delete the shortcut
EDIT:
OK, I found the shortcut settings in the WMP.INF file
[WMP11.Shortcuts]
HKCU,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Setup\UserOptions",DesktopShortcut,,yes
HKCU,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Setup\UserOptions",QuickLaunchShortcut,,yes
...and obvioulsy this negates my integrated reg settings which say NO shortcuts... so I am guessing I need to change this before the integration but I'm not sure how...

I do it after as well, but it doesn't stop shortcut creation to the Start Menu. You can always use WMPOCM=off in your WINNT.SIF file to suppress all shortcut creation, but this has the unfortunate side effect of making the wmplayer.exe and mplayer2.exe files supperhidden. And even if you make them not supperhidden for the initial user, they seem to revert back when a new user logs on. Frustrating as hell.dolivas wrote:compstuff not sure about before I have always done it after everything is done and before I make the iso or cd
