So I'm having a problem with winlogon.exe crashing when using the autologin registry keys. I *think* its somehow related to 1.0.3, but I don't even see anything in the changelog that references logins at all.
I usually keep the old packs, for some reason I didn't this time. Is 1.0.2 available somewhere for download so I can try the build with that and see if it does indeed go away?
More info: I'm building WIMs in MDT 2008. When using a WIM built with 1.0.3, it does the autologin to start its config process and winlogon.exe crashes. It doesn't prevent anything from happening and goes away once the autologin keys are removed, but is unsettling.
winlogon.exe crash with autologin...
Re: winlogon.exe crash with autologin...
You need to find out the name of the module where the crash occurred.fly wrote:So I'm having a problem with winlogon.exe crashing when using the autologin registry keys.
You can find stuff on the tracker dating back to 2006. All you need is a Bittorrent client.
I will check that out, thank you.code65536 wrote:You need to find out the name of the module where the crash occurred.
That's tough to come by at work, but I'll try to remember to get it tonight at home. Thanks!5eraph wrote:You can find stuff on the tracker dating back to 2006. All you need is a Bittorrent client.
As I'm sure you guys can imagine, this was a false alarm. It seems to have nothing to do with The error seems to exist on a vanilla SP3 install as well. It mentions sfc_os.dll as the ModName. And the crash goes away once auto login is turned off.
If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, I'm off to the Google.
