[Release] McAfee AVERT Stinger Addon v3.8.0-070928

Post by Mrs Peel » Tue Mar 07, 2006 8:54 pm

Rogue Spear has this in his big addon pack, but I needed it as a single installer for a friends ISO build, so here 'tis....

Please note that I will only be updating this every few months or so when I need it for my own personal ISO builds cos I just don't have the time to keep up-to-date with the number of new releases there are of this app. Feel free to keep your own personal version updated by overwriting stinger.exe in the cab file with latest exe from the McAfee website - just don't post any of my modified packs here if you do.

McAfee AVERT Stinger
Stinger is a stand-alone utility used to detect and remove specific viruses. It is not a substitute for full anti-virus protection, but rather a tool to assist administrators and users when dealing with an infected system. Stinger utilizes next generation scan engine technology, including process scanning, digitally signed DAT files, and scan performance optimizations.

Please be advised that if I do not get any indication that members are using this addon then it will be deleted from my collection due to lack of interest.

This is such a popular utility I find it really REALLY hard to believe that nobody here is using this since the 18 MONTHS that I shared it here.

I just rebuilt it with an uninstaller today cos I need it for my own build, but if I do not get some indication that members appreciate this addon then it goes bye-bye as well.....

Seven days notice till permanent removal from the collection.... tick-tock.... tick-tock....
