Hi All,
This addon will copy the lame_enc.dll v3.97b2 file in your System32 directory. This file is needed for some audio editor programs like GoldWave or Multiquence to save their files in MP3 format.

Um, while I agree there's a large variety of builds available there, it's not exactly up-to-date ^_^; (if you want the latest alpha build)

There is a forum that I use to read ... hydrogen audio forums. Anyhow, they're super freaks when it comes to lame mp3 encoding... I mean, wow... those d00ds are fanatics. I would definately use whatever proggie they recommend to both extract and to encode cds. Uhm, Exact Audio Copy seems to be the flavor of choice over there. reading this is helpful http://chrismyden.com/bestmp3guide.php ... it would be great to have an addon pack that represented all the aforementioned information.

Coolness.

An addon-pack of EAC with lame and teh shitz would be really cool.

Since it is rather difficult to set up there oughta be some help-files to come with it,
or somesuch.

:D
...armed with foot long lolly and fierce passion in teh loins.

OK peeps I have some good news and some ba-a-a-a-a-a-ad news.....

Good News:
I have made an addon for Exact Audio Copy
I have customised it to include CDRDAO, LAME and AccurateRip DLLs
It has included in the pack is a Quickstart Guide (converted to PDF) from here.

Bad News:
We cannot share it here cos it requires authors permission to redistribute. See here.

So if ya'll can be patient and cross your fingers tightly, I will send a nice letter to the author Andre requesting his consent to share a cabbed version of his program on our website here....

Stay tuned ;)

PS: Hydrogen Audio Forums rule! I learned most of what I know about MP3 ripping by lurking there guzzling their fountain of knowledge ;)

Worse coming to worse, could you do something like that sysinternal's pack ? have it auto download it ?

Sorry, I felt silly when I posted that.

And I felt silly reading it. I thought you were an east european street kid struggling to write in english.

To answer your (now coherent) question.... no.

I have been using EAC for many many years and hold the author in very high regard so I will be doing my utmost to respect his work. Also EAC is not freeware, he expects you to send him a card or donation.

I sent him a very nice letter a few days ago, but he is a busy guy so we will have to be patient while he considers my request and makes his decision.

Cheers

PS: Don't call me "boss" Ryan is The Boss.... to you I am "Mistress P" ;)

Good News
Andre said YES, as long as we make it clear that this is actually an unregistered copy.

Good News
Addon pack with EAC User Guide posted here: Exact Audio Copy Addon Pack 0.95b3

See? All good things come to those who are patient ;)
