The Adobe® Reader® 7.0.3 update addresses a buffer overflow issue in Adobe Reader 7.0-7.0.2 software and provides improved security.

Adobe Reader 7.0.3 English Lite Unattended 6Mb uploaded here: http://rapidshare.de/files/4076049/AR703.exe.html

The AcroForm.api file fixed by 7.0.3 update is not a part of Adobe Reader Lite Unattended. So there is no big difference between 7.0.2 Lite and 7.0.3 Lite except version number & repacking to squeeze few kilobytes even more.

EDITED:
Version with msvcp71.dll & no desktop icon 6.09Mb: http://rapidshare.de/files/4123843/ar703a.exe.html

But for my Unattended Windows XP CD I'll not use this bigger version, because, the missing (when installing on clean Windows) msvcp71.dll file is installed by another application and there is no need to duplicate it twice here.

EDITED #2:
AR703.exe miss msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll files. These files are missed intentionally to reduce size of the installer. AR703.EXE will not work or even install on clean Windows XP. Why I removed these files? Because they are very common DLL libraries and they are installed by other applications on my Unattended CD. And I don't want to waste space on my CD and duplicate same files in every installer. The application that installs both files is Symantec Antivirus 10. If you run AR703.exe after SAV10 installation everything will work perfectly.

Especially for those of you, who do not install SAV10, there is AR703a.exe version released with msvcp71.dll but not msvcr71.dll file inside. The last file is installed by even more applications like K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 1.37 or Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 SP1.

So what you must to do is install Adobe Reader Lite AFTER these applications.

Anyone else having trouble applying the 7.0.3 update to the installation of ryan's 7.0.2 switchless? It always says setup cannot find the product for me.

Yeah, I'm aware of that issue. I think it looks for the previously extracted update folders and since they don't exist, it complains. Yay for silly updaters :P

Oh ok, guess that's not your fault then. 8)

And with your switchless installers it's easy enough to just reinstall for the new version. :D

Once I get the next update pack out, I'll update the Adobe Reader installer.

I'll be putting up 6.0.4 and 7.0.3 switchless installers later tonight. I also figured out the problem with not being able to update my versions with Adobe patches. That'll be fixed in these releases.

EDIT: Weird, the fix works great for Acrobat 6, but not Acrobat 7. I'm dissecting the 7.0.3 update MSI, and the check it does is looking at the VersionMax and VersionMin values of HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\Installer\Updates\702. If they're 7 and 2, respectively, it passes on the condtion and the install should continue. However, it doesn't seem to like it when I set the conditions myself. I'll keep playing with it, but it looks like that bugfix for Acrobat 7 is on hold for now.

Well, that's what VMWare/VirtualPC is for :). Give it a shot and maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised!

I noticed that the 7.03 update doesn't seem to update if you have the previous version of 7.02 on it......what is the uninstall command line for Ryan's version of 7.02.

I know how to use the add/remove program, but I am automating this across the enterprise, so I just need to know the switches for Ryan's Adobe 7.02 Reader......
