[Solved] Help with reg setting: Silverlight.exe

Post by MrNxDmX » Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:46 pm

I need to add a registry setting. I added silverlight.reg, and edited config.txt like this:

Code: Select all

;!@Install@!UTF-8!
RunProgram="Silverlight.exe /q"
RunProgram="regedit.exe /s Silverlight.reg"
;!@InstallEnd@!
But the reg setting doesnt get applied.
The program is installed OK without errors.
Waiting to release,but after setting the registry.

Edit: Here's the reg file:

Code: Select all

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Silverlight]
"UpdateMode"=dword:00000002

My method works, no need to change nothing... He may have been using the wrong 7zip sfx

BTW this is one way to do it if you use a .reg file (I'm sure there are others)

Code: Select all

RunProgram="hidcon:cmd /c \"regedit -s filename.reg\""

You store them in config.txt file, which you use for 7zip switchless creating.

You don't need a reg file, not if you use this code
