Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Updates List
Here are links to all the updates/hotfixes needed to bring a slipstreamed 64-bit Windows XP Pro disc up-to-date. I included all the updates needed to satisfy Microsoft Update, plus any for IE7 and WMP11 that do not appear on MU. Ideally, by downloading and integrating these files via RVM Integrator or nLite, 64-bit XP users can mimic RyanVM's 32-bit XP UpdatePack as closely as possible. If I have failed to include something, it is most likely because the 32-bit version works under 64-bit windows or because there isn't a 64-bit version. Otherwise, inform me of a missing update/hotifx/etc. via this thread, and I'll update the list. If there is a file/link that should be removed, please inform me of that as well.

a few of these hotfixes pre-date SP2, but i only listed those that appeared on MS Update for me (i started with SP2 installed, of course). since KB923689 has more to do with WMP than critical core windows components, what are the odds that it was simply left out of SP2?
[update]
nLite spits out an error when you try to integrate KB923689 to SP2 x64. im going to test a new ISO in vmware and see if MS update still tries to install it.

this is a complete list, and even includes the hotfixes from this month's patch tuesday. i even included a few non-microsoft items that are included in ryanvm's last post-sp2 update pack. grab all the downloads here and integrate them, and the only thing that will pop up on MS updates are drivers and the latest malicious software removal tool.

are these, by any chance, the ones listed below "WILL NOT INTEGRATE"...?madrooster wrote:Some of the updates... ~6 or 7 of them, error out in nLite?
if it helps, heres how i integrate my disks:
-start with xp x64 sp1
-integrate xp x64 sp2, using nlite. then close nlite
-install boooggy's wmp11 slipstreamer. integrate wmp11 + all wmp11 hotfixes. close wmp11 slipstreamer.
-re-open nlite. at hotfixes/addons integration, i select ALL available addons, plus IE7 and all IE7 hotfixes. i also add my drivers and remove certain components.
-finish nlite process, make bootable ISO, burn with Nero. works every time.
at this point i would suggest either re-downloading the hotfixes that are giving you problems (as they may have somehow become corrupted) or making sure there isnt something wrong with your original XP source disk.

These are the ones which don't work:
KB943729 - Group Policy Preference Client Side Extensions
KB923845 - Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 2.5
KB925876-v2 - Remote Desktop Connection (Terminal Services Client 6.0)
KB931836 - Update for automatic clock adjustment for revised 2007 Daylight Savings Time laws
KB933360 - Update for automatic clock adjustment for revised 2007 Daylight Savings Time laws
KB942763 - Update for automatic clock adjustment for revised 2007 - 2008 Daylight Savings Time laws
KB948881 - Security Update of ActiveX Kill Bits
The rest are fine (WMP11+IE7 updates included). I have tried redownloading but that makes no difference.

All of the Cumulative security update files listed for Internet Explorer 7 are replaced by KB947864
Here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/securi ... 8-024.mspx
KB923789 "Vulnerabilities in Macromedia Flash Player from Adobe" have all been addressed to date by installing 9.0.124.0
The Time Zone updates KB931836 and KB933360 are superceeded by December 2007 cumulative time zone update-KB942763.
here:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=942763
for the info; and
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
to download.
After a fresh realtime install slipstreaming all updates listed above-except KB923789 because I install the latest Flash Player, only KB943729 - Group Policy Preference Client Side Extensions shows on MS update.
The latest version of nlite will do it all at once as per here:
http://www.msfn.org/board/HOWTO-create- ... 05277.html
...for just the boogy/nlite integration.

KB941693, KB943729, KB945553, KB948590 and KB948881 in the WMP11 hotfix section are actually Windows updates and I don't think Boooggy's Integrator would do anything with them.
I'm temporarily at a disadvantage because I ordered WinXP 64-bit SP2C OEM on Friday, May 9 and should receive it by Friday this week, at which time I will make some ISO's and do some testing-MS update etc. I will know more then about anything missed, or additional and post in my original reply.

Sorry for the delay on my promised x64 UpdatePack. I ran into some complications.
I think it has to do with me trying to create the UpdatePack on an x86 machine instead of x64. My tool I use to check on filedates does not work correctly on 64 bit files and is giving me issues with which files it overwites.
Unfortunatlly I do not have a 64 bit OS installed. So soon I plan on installing a 64 bit system and trying to create the UpdatePack again.
So roirraW "edor" was sort of correct in his assumption earlier.

[update]
due to the release of 5eraph's Post-SP2 Update Pack for Windows XP x64, i will be suspending updates to this list. the reason for this is that several updates on my list are superseded by hotfixes which i cannot directly link to (you must request MS to send them to you via email), from 5eraph's pack.
i do not intend to abandon this thread just yet, but taking into consideration that the goal of the list was to provide x64 users with an update list for their slipstreamed disks (in lieu of an acceptable update pack), i no longer see an immediate need to update this list.
i may return to updating this list in the future if the need arises, but considering the superiority of 5eraph's update pack, i hope i dont have to - an update pack beats grabbing individual hotfixes any day
. i hope that everyone who gained something from this list will download 5eraph's pack, and take a second to thank him for his hard work and dedication. and if anyone is interested, he squashed 122MB worth of hotfixes into a single ~31MB archive...not bad!

5eraph wrote:I saw your list, runningfool87, but I decided to start from a fresh SP2 install and check the Microsoft Update site for a smaller list.
The only high priority update listed on a clean install is Internet Explorer 7. The only optional updates given are WMP11, the dotNETs, and Silverlight.
The following updates on your list did not make it in the pack. Reasons are given for each. The following updates listed as nonintegrable on your list are included in the pack:
- KB921503 - Directly superseded by KB943055 which is in the pack.
KB923789 - Superseded by Adobe Flash v9.0.124.0, which is in the pack.
KB923845 - It does not appear as an update on WU/MU for me. I was not aware of it.
KB931836 - Directly superseded by KB942763, which is also on your list and in the pack.
KB932596 - Superseded by KB942835 and KB952244. Both of these are in the pack.
KB933729 - Superseded by KB952145, which is in the pack.
KB936357 - This update seems to be specific to certain Intel processors. All three of my machines here are AMD, with the exception of a couple of unused motherboards at the moment.
KB942288 - Waiting on more feedback before further consideration, as stated above.
- KB890830 - Malicious Software Removal Tool v1.41
KB943729 - Group Policy Preference Client Side Extensions
Adobe Flash v9.0.124.0 for Internet Explorer (32-bit)
