Email Microsoft. And if you do get them, share the wealth

Yeah, I thought I remembered seeing that when I was looking through that list awhile back (someone posted a similar link in Hulk's thread over at MSFN). Funny stuff

If these hotfixes are not available in download and that you request them to Microsoft, i guess you'll get them in english. So we can say goodbye to the translated versions of your pack ...
I won't request the french version of these hotfixes since i don't own a licensed copy.
Then, i think you should create a new version of the pack with critical hofixes only (those will be available for anyone).

You're not getting the ones which have been superceded, right? Just making sure
And you most definitely deserve a huge round of applause for your work. Thanks
And for the record, the next release will be version 1.1, because it's going to be a big one

Hi Guys,
I suspect this question may appear a bit cheeky but is there any possibility that you would postup or make available the new hotfixes you have aquired for download?
The reason I ask is that I'm working on a post SP2 hotfix update script and would love to be able to include these new hotfixes in this.
Clearly if you felt this was a useful idea then I would be happy to make this available for anyone else to use.
If the answer is no then I would understand, however if you thought this was a good idea, then I for one would be happy
Kind Regards
Simon

I don't think it'd be a wise idea for us to post them in that way. You can always email Microsoft and ask for them, though

Hi RyanVM,
I thought you would probably say that, but I thought I would ask anyway
Someone was bound to ask so it might has well be me.
What sort of thing do you e-mail to MS when requesting these hotfixes?
Just a basic request for it, or do you make up a cunning e-mail which references the symptoms in the hotfix and hope they will send it to you?
Kind Regards
Simon

I have no idea what keytotime's been saying, but I just made up a story about working on a GDI SVG renderer and needing the hotfix

Added some color tags, almost all updates are now present. Anybody tested those? Meaby some fix breaks other parts of the Windows OS system

I'll be testing them in VirtualPC prior to release (as always).
Get ahold of me on IM and I'll send it to you for testing once it's in a useable state.

It seems as if you guys are well on your way to getting all of the current "unpublished" hotfixes.
I am sure the next release of the pack will be worth waiting for; i'm looking forward to seeing it already.
Sad eh?

Kind Regards
Simon
Looking at the file versions, I strongly doubt this file is for SP2. I've seen a few occasions now KB articles with the wrong keywords on them (post-SP2 fixes without the presp3 keyword and so forth).keytotime wrote:You forgot to add KB840837: Connection security may not be detected correctly in Internet Explorer 6 or Internet Explorer 5.
It's on request.

KB884573 should be on the list. KB888111 could be too, but that's not really a hotfix as much as it is a new feature.

Found another one:
