OK; Why does Adobe Reader 7 takes 80MB disc space, and Foxit only 2.5MB?

Adobe Reader 7 has a huge feature list it does stuff i`ll never need it to do. All i need is a PDF reader/viewer/printer, Foxit does that perfectly.

piXelatedEmpire, my pleasure

I noticed it puts it in the start menu under Start>Programs

Any way we could change it to be in Start>Foxit PDF-Reader

Not a big deal... just curious. ;)

Thanks again XabLE!

Shortcut placement is a tricky one, it`s more of a personal preference therefore hard to please everyone with any one decision.

I will change it to that siginet if there are a few others who would like it too.

In the meantime you could change this;

Code: Select all

LINK="Programs"
to
LINK="Foxit PDF-Reader"
x-ayble

How do u know all those entries in the Foxot.ini file? Is there like a tutorial or manual somewhere?

I'm interrested in how to do that too.

Great addon by the way!

dazkrlauwste, did you read this This. An understanding of how setup works helps, especialy look at how dosnet.inf and txtsetup.sif works. Gosh`s Site is a good place to start.
When i started making addons i looked at ryans for examples of how things are done, there are plenty more now for you to learn from.

Foxit Reader v1.3 Build 1522 - Installed to Program Files\Foxit - Also associated as default .PDF reader
Please tell me the Program Files path refers to its environment variable...
Mine is set to C:\PF\ while common files are C:\CF\ and the install dir is C:\WXP\. You get the idea (short paths, no spaces)...
