Thanks very much.

It's really incredible the lengths RS is going to reduce convenience for free users.
I got it finally though, so no worries.

I downloaded this addon a few hours after you posted it, and i got a bigger size and a different md5 then actual is. I supose you silently modified the addon, but may I ask what was changed, and if I may use the first one posted?

silent update, repacked the addon. no changes.
if you used the first release it is same as second.

I think he was in the right section, because this is an addon (based on a switchless installer, but still remains an addon) :)

Sorry keloo This is an addon made out of a switchless installer...

Not a "True" addon.

@5eraph - thanks for moving to the switchless forum.

users can unpack the addon, in the svcpack folder you have access to the installer and my regular switches:

-ai - silent
-ai1 - passive

When I run the java6u22.exe with the 'ai1' switch at RunOnceEx on a newly installed system (no previous java), I get the following error just before the install ends:

Windows Installer
This action is only valid for products that are currently installed.

Does that mean I have to use 'ai' so I won''t see the pop-up error :) ?

the msi is run with JAVAUPDATE=0 JU=0 AUTOUPDATECHECK=0

this happens because of this line in the config.txt to uninstall autoupdate/autoupdate for the 2nd time (which was not installed due to msi switches above):

RunProgram="msiexec /x {4A03706F-666A-4037-7777-5F2748764D10}"

Use

Code: Select all

RunProgram="msiexec /x {4A03706F-666A-4037-7777-5F2748764D10} /qn"
to hide this kind of errors.

it is something in the sfx module.

if you want to run the installer locally just use "SHIFT + OK"
