Integrate Service PacK 1 Windows 7 x32 x64

Post by AJARBAS » Fri Aug 12, 2011 9:07 pm

Prepare the first service pack for Windows 7 offline integration.

1 - Extract the contents of Service Pack 1, using the command line "-x". Example: Windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe-x:C:\ Sp1
2 - Extract the contents of Windows6.1-KB976932-x64.cab using the 7-zip in the SP1 folder (C:\ SP1)
3 - Extract the contents of NestedMPPContent.cab now in the same folder.
4 - Open the file with Notepad update.ses "Notepad" and change to Installed in OfflineInstall Absent, should be identical to the following example:

<Tasks operationMode="OfflineInstall">
<Phase>
<Package Id = "Windows7SP1-KB976933~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.17514? targetState = "Installed" />
</ Phase>

5 - Open with Notepad in Update.mum and Windows7SP1-KB976933~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.17514.mum (or 32-bit) and change allowedOffline = "false" to allowedOffline = "true"
6 - Select all Languagecab(languagecab KB976933-LangsCab0 to KB976933-LangsCab6) and extract all files and replace if necessary by existing.

@Echo off
Title Aply simple script to image Index 2

set mount2=C:\Mount2
set seven=C:\Windows7Sp1
set svcpack=C:\Sp1

echo Mount image Index 2
echo.
dism /Mount-Wim /WimFile:%seven%\install.wim /Index:2 /MountDir:%mount2%
echo.
echo Add Service pack index 2
echo.
dism /Image:%mount2% /Add-Package /PackagePath:%svcpack%
echo.
echo Save changes Index 2
echo.
dism /Unmount-Wim /MountDir:%mount2% /Commit
echo.
echo Clean
DISM.exe /Cleanup-Wim

You DO realize this leaves you with 2 of MANY packages?

Like WMP11 and IE8?

Do not understand your question but can integrate the 4 image index.
I searched the internet and did in my house and it worked.
I am enthusiastic and have learned here with you, I have a lot of sense.
I like WMP11 and IE8..

Your logic is flawed.

This leaves and installs BOTH the old and new versions of many of windows 7 features,

TWO wmp11's TWO ie8's getting a mix-mash of files in the end.

Granted it DOES WORK, but it is very messy...

Not sure why that has not already read Sp1 offline and never have tested with IE8 IE9 intact. The only detail is that for him not to slow down if done on a hardisk slave must become owner the Hard Disk. Why must it be run in administrator mode
I have no idea, learn and install the forum in personal computers.
You would like me to integrate and send him the log.
I honestly have no idea.

Why you want to waist your time when you can easily find the official integrated version?
This should not be hard for most Internet users.
Just a thought.
