Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4
Yeah, it seems to me, also a lay person, that these new vaccines are on the same level as the flu shot. (Maybe they can be combined in the future?) If you get a shot every year, as it is changed each year to try and keep up with the changes in the virus, it seems to make it less likely that you will...

As of right now, everything except SP4V30MUI.iso and some of the COMPONENTS_REFERENCE material is still available, and is updated, on GDrive, which is also faster to download from. But it's good that everything is backed up and available on the Wayback Machine, ie Internet Archive.

If you installed SP4, then replaced files should be those from SP4. The only r...

Look above at Ghost's sig. Click the "WinXP Post uSP4 Hotfix Installer" link. When that opens, click the "abbodi86 AIO dotNet update installer" link in that post. That will take you to Abbodi's repository where you can download the file you need.

Re: No Windows Server 2008 R2 forum, why?
I would assume that it's because of the code relation of 2003 to XP and the desire to get what was perceived as a "more advanced version of XP" since it came out later with a slightly improved code base (5.2 vs 5.1) and that the server version was sometimes thought of as "better" and more stable tha...

The problem boils down to drivers for the newer hardware that will work in the older Windows OS. AFAIK, the Ryzen and Threadripper CPUs can be made to work with Win7. The APUs cannot. The integrated Graphics controller creates the problem. The same is true for any APU. You are usually much more like...
