WOW! Fantastic news indeed. I'm going to think about it, as I've had some ''bad thoughts'' sometimes about nlite, however since the development of the app was stopped, I haven't wrote them down / saved them for reporting. But a couple comes to mind, and I'll post them there. Thanks! :)

Sorry for the mistake: nlite warned me twice about the same file for KB947460 - once for Mrxsmb.sy_ and once for Mrxsmb.sys.

So I thought there were two different files warnings (so Cscdll.dll also), but this was not the case. Sorry for the trouble again. :)

I haven't integrated KB947460 v3, and now I have a 5.1.2600.6133 version of mrxsmb.sys and a 5.1.2600.5512 version of scsdll.dll on the installed windows xp. So maybe it was only a false warning from nlite... going to investigate further.

KB947460 v3 seems to be superseded by one of the ''newer'' updates. I use nlite, and both files in it (Cscdll.dll and Mrxsmb.sys) have newer files already integrated.

Sorry, but I'm not a pro, so I cannot point out the exact KB hotfix that supersedes it. Can you confirm / infirm this? Thanks. :)

I was thinking the same thing, maybe a very updated xp version is preferable to an older vista version. But I wasn't sure, since maybe the vista version has other advantages...

I read a little - so PCL (developed by HP) was ''replaced'' by Microsoft with XPS for windows.

However, for old printers, that have old PCL-based drivers, wouldn't be a good idea to also keep the latest version of PCL?

Just asking, already erased any trace of KB948046 from my pc. :)
