I suggest updating 1st post to avoid confusion.

actually I can see benefits in using a ram disk for web browsing temp files. 1 - writing temp internet files to the hd is going to cause fragmentation, this will eliminate that. 2 - system cache is not too great in XP, default settings it is limited to a too small size, on the large settings it can ...

ok boooggy I did this and worked. 1 - ran wmp11 slipstreamer and integrated wmp11 + hotfixes to clean image. 2 - ran nlite and integrated ryans update pack + other addons Now no errors, previously nlite was running ryans update pack before your integrator, it was forcing that order so I think the pr...

Hi, sorry for the delay, when I removed wmp11 and the hotfixes from my install the error is gone. The way I am integrating is adding wmp11 to nlite, nlite automatically runs wmp11 slipstreamer and then it installs the hotfixes, this is the the nlite documentation says to do this. What I might try ne...

boogy I used ryan's latest post sp3 beta pack and also used the wmp11 slipstreamer via nlite, both nlite and your slipstreamer I used latest versions, and also slipstreamed hotfixes listed on your site. However there was a error listed in qfecheck on my test installation and I have been advised my w...

XeroxZer0 you made me do an investigation, microsoft has really made a howler by not including IE7. It seems 938127 will not install on SP3 machines at all meaning they are vulnerable, as installing IE7 will replace VGX.DLL with vulnerable version and 938127 is designed for SP2 not SP3. I am now in ...

agree with roirraW "edor" its obvious the hotfix isnt included in sp3 else why would it show up? The more likely scenario is that those integrating IE7 is causing a breakage and that breakage means they going without the hotfix, could be why ms are saying its not supported as they know about the pro...

[quote="roirraW "edor""] - For WMP11 hotfixes, we do not add registry entries to show Windows that the hotfixes have been installed because (Thankfully) Windows Update is smart enough to check the actual file version, so if no wmp fixes show on windows update, the fixes were integrated correctly. Both I have read that the update doesnt show in WU in both scenarios when it is integrated and when it is installed manually. As I understand it the guy who installed IE7 manually still had to download the standalone patch and install it manually it didn't show on WU. I also read that blog, I agree ...

From what I have read so far it seems this is the way to go for people like me who are not lucky enough to have a native sp2 cd. SP0 > SP2 > IE7 > SP3 although I dont tend to integrate IE7 so I will wait for windows update to be fixed and then do. SP0 > SP2 > SP3 These newer support tools they offer...
