I am unable to reproduce your issue on real Pentium 4 hardware (80 GB HDD as well, 512 MB RAM) and in a VM with 4 GB RAM. SHA1 hash of sp4inf.cat for XP Pro must be 50cdf333410aa7da38a31fe48e826c1faf05b2e0
If not, repeat slipstreaming process.

You could disable new registrations, possibly allowing new registrations only by invitation, and leave the forum online. Also delete all spammers.
There is a great amount of info here, and would be such a pity to completely shut it down.
