@GH0st Make sure that IE8 saves history. I had history disabled (latest cumulative update installed) and the same issue occurred. When I enable it, the message does not appear. Also tried after uninstalling all the latest cumulative updates.

SP4 users must delete this registry key to receive the latest WU updates:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\WindowsEmbedded

Run WU check after doing so. Otherwise March 2016 updates won't show up.

A new 3.1b version will be released just to fix this.

May I recommend trying the clean ISO I offer in my Google+ account (Search my email har.kaz94@gmail.com). Although it won't accept your product key, it will help you exclude the ISO you've created from being the culprit.
