the forum that i moderate, all you do is click the username and then click "goodbye spammer"... in just TWO CLICKS it deletes ALL of the user's posts and bans the user - TWO CLICKS... if you had to delete them individually, then that's a problem... if i moderated here, i would see those 95 posts and...

that is correct, all part of the fun... also why i only do my updates twice a year (June and December), i do NOT feel "less safe" in the months that i no longer update... i have an iso for each and every machine... complete with hardware drivers specific to ONLY that machine... complete with softwar...

are you copying the install cd/dvd to your hard drive?
what version of Windows are using?
what version of Windows are you slipstreaming?

you MUST use an "original" Microsoft install cd/dvd...
you can NOT use one that you found as a "download"...

please don't give up...

i know that i have had the best success by slipstreaming my WinXP (i have both 32bit and 64bit) from inside a 32bit VirtualBox WinXP SP3...
for me, i have not been able to use OnePiece's Update Pack for my slipstreaming because nLite doesn't see .net 2.0 as being installed...

Pale Moon test gives same result, something about not able to load a valid "PE"...

i agree... i don't like Flash or the "Malicious Software Removal Tool" being included... it only "forces" an update pack renewal EVERY MONTH even if there are no "real" updates for the month... edit: ps, i do manual installs of BOTH Flash versions (IE and Firefox/Chrome), i prefer doing them MANUALL...

definitely the strangest issue i've ever encountered

a MEDIA PLAYER update wreaking havoc with the way that IE8 (technically i use GreenBrowser but it's an IE8 "shell") renders web pages ???

it all snowballed downhill from there, lol

i'm (finally) back up-and-running

not sure "where" in the testing the .net framework all-in-one (and MS Office 2003) went 'sour' but all is 'sweet' now (excluding WMP11 updates which i'm not too worried about on this machine) :)

this month's 11th install currently in-process (including this morning's POSReady update) everything updated *except* WMP11 (kept the Onepiece v1.0.0_Final that i've been using) i've had corrupted .exe's in my file transfer process before but it's always been mouse, keyboard, or video driver install...

it appears it is possibly a corrupted .net all-in-one
did a byte-compare of two install DVDs and it's showing the .net .exe as different
have not updated it for several months, it just gets copied from old-DVD to desktop back to new-DVD

i was basically two months behind on my UpdatePacks

i do think there is "definitely" something in an April-thru-now update that is causing major havoc with internet connectivity (wireless in my case) and IE8 rendering (missing images, large gaps filled with empty space, improper CSS spacing)...

same exact issue with v1.5.5 (which USED TO work just fine)

seems it's not the IE8 update pack, but rather this month's XPSP3_QFE_UpdatePack (or last month's, i did not do a full-install last month)

turns out there is another variable - the updated WMP11 v3.5.0

v1.5.7 did not solve the issue (would not connect to internet at all, *only* variable change was the IE8 update pack)...

i don't have v1.5.6
