@armix7: You're not, by any chance, running nLite on a Vista or Windows 7 system, are you? I started running into some issues similar to what you describe when I was using nLite on a Windows 7 system. At first I thought either nLite or the AIO pack were broken. On a whim, I thought I'd try running n...

Repair Addon usage
So do I have to run the repair addon in a separate instance of nLite... or just put it somewhere after the main SP3 pack in the list of Addons?

Thank you for the awesome update pack. What a time saver! I really appreciate this resource and I hope you'll keep developing it. Quick question: With this new version (3.6) my installation lingers at 23 minutes for a LONG time. Is that when the DotNet stuff is installing? Also... would it be a lot ...

ETA for integration of 6/9 hotfixes
OnePiece, you are tops. You got me hooked on your AIO pack, so don't shoot me for asking... when can we expect the new one with the June 9th hotfixes integrated? Again, thanks! You are awesome.

MCE COA key
OP says: "You dont have to have a valid MCE serial..." My question is... what if I do have a valid MCE serial? Can I use this update pack with an XP Pro install source and still use my OEM MCE COA CD-key to activate? Or do I have to use an XP Pro serial?

ETA on 1.6.1
I know you guys do this as a public service, and your work is GREATLY appreciated. So don't take this wrong when I ask when the latest Patch Tuesday updates will be added to the Post SP3 AIO pack! I simply ask because I have an install to do and OnePiece's pack meets my needs better than RyanVM's. B...

Clarification needed
I've been a long time user of RyanVM's awesome Update Pack and Integrator for XP Pro. However, yesterday I bought a used MCE PC and want to reinstall the OS. Since I'm a noob to MCE, can someone condescend  to answer these questions? 1) There are three OEM disks. If I understand, I only need t...

Server overloaded. Got mirrors?
Hey, Ryan, your new release must be an overwhelming hit... I can't download it! Keep getting kicked of MSFN servers every few seconds. Can you suggest alternate download sites, or do I just have to be patient?
Thanks for the great work!

Windows Piracy Check and Update Pack
Read today that Microsoft will do a piracy check on all computers attempting to update Windows, starting mid-2005.
Will this put a stop to (or effect) the Update Packs you put out, Ryan? (My motto: It's never too early to start worrying.))

Thanks for the fast work, Ryan! Visited your sight not expecting 05 to be out yet! Specifically, will shutdown.exe be the original Mic...

You're right... the size of the additional components is neglible. I'll never use psshutdown, but finally I don't really care if it's in the update pack since it's only ~14KB. I also recall not so long ago waiting 20+ minutes when XP installation hit the 13 minute stage. I'm glad those days are over...

Was just trying to simplify your work, not complicate it! Don't have time to dig into this myself, but I'll take your word for that what I suggest is an unneeded headache. I was thinking the structure was something like a reg tweak where, for example, if you have 10 separate tweaks, it's not much wo...

I highly doubt Nuhi will want to spend time tying nLite selections to Ryan's UpdatePack. But perhaps there's a better solution. Check out this idea: http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=167#167

UpdatePacks = K.I.S.S.
IMHO, UpdatePack should be kept as basic as possible, and it should appeal to as broad a base as possible. Would there be a way to post "Pack Addons" with the extra stuff that not everyone wants? How about changing your system so that you offered ONE UpdatePack "essentials" which includes hotfixes t...

psshutdown vs shutdown.exe
So what is the big advantage to using psshutdown? I guess I see little added functionality compared to shutdown.exe. I guess I question whether it should be included in the UpdatePack. Can someone tell me how they use it, and why shutdown.exe doesn't cut it?

Microsoft stopped making Bootvis available for download and claims it has no noticable effect on boot times. It seems that at best it is of very limited use, and most users don't want it or need it. I suggest keeping it out of the Update Pack. If someone really wants it, they can add it themselves l...

One suggestion: Could you put a link to Update Pack downloads on the opening forum page? (And maybe to your home page too.)
Thanks for starting a dedicated forum! I'm sure it'll take off in time.
