I did some checking and this may be it. I won't be able to test it anytime soon. I just noticed the date of 5.6.08 today when I was browsing around.

I ran it both in and out of a nLite session. I am testing it now to see if patching the uxtheme.dll through nLite is the problem or not...

Looks like that was the issue. For some reason it doesn't like it when you patch the uxtheme.dll through nLite.

Now that you mention it, I did something that I normally don't. Through nLite I patched uxtheme.dll. I am not sure if that has anything to do with it but I am going to try it without doing any tweaks of that nature and see if it fixes the problem. Thanks for the help. I will report back.

boooggy I get the following error with the latest version What do to get this error is try and run this after I install of my hot fixes and add ons. I even rebooted the box I do all of my Unattended stuff on and still got the error. I haven't tried any of the previous versions. I am going to try it ...

To be honest I think I fixed the problem with the running it with setup. Now whether or not it installed the 2 components above I am unsure of at this point but I am doing further testing to see what is going on.

LOL, don't try setup.exe. It won't work. I have already tried :p That is why I added the components separately because with the .MSI it doesn't install those 2 components and when scanning on windows updates it considered those 2 components part of 3.0. Well it seems to work for me on a VM and I have just recently tested it on a real machine. As soon as I can upload it you can do with it what you want.

I uploaded my add-on this morning, I am going through some channels to get it hosted so you all can download it. I will keep you informed.

I think you only need 1.1 and 3.0, because I noticed 3.0 includes 2.0 with itself. while that *may* true, I have seen instances where even if they have 3.0 install Windows Update still prompts for v2.0. I have one that does all 3 of the .net's and includes the Visual C++ 2005 SP1 I just don't have anywhere where I can upload it and I am too darn poor to really afford to pay for hosting

MrNxDmX - There wasn't any on my list. I think I saw a few things where there were not going to be any patches this month except for the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool. The only other ones that showed up for me was Update for Windows XP (KB929338) and Update for Windows Media Format 11 SDK ...

from what I understand and saw when it was integrating 2 files were not included they were setup_wm.exe and setup_wm.ex_. During the Windows Setup it asks for the location of those to files. All you will really need to do is just add those 2 files to the I386 directory then you should be good to go....
