I just want to thank everyone for their help. The install went without a hitch yesterday. Although a few error messages came up pertaining to the IE7 update - but I think that was normal. Strangely enough, I downloaded an add-on called "IE7 Cosmetic" but it still didn't work - oh well. So far so goo...

Beautiful! Thank you so much, guys! The reason why I was slipstreaming SP2 and Ryan's Post SP2 update pack into my SP1 source disk is because I was under the impression that I would be missing out on any critical updates found in Ryan's Post SP3 update pack. I'll presume that everything till present...

Correct me if I'm doing something wrong here, but I'm trying start a fresh install from scratch. I have tried to do the following: 1) Copy all files/contents from an existing Windows XP SP1 CD to my hard drive. 2) Slipstream Service Pack 2 into the folder containing all files and contents. 3) Update...

Lol, sorry! It's just that I haven't been active on this forum for nearly three months, so I'm kinda out of the loop. I apologize if this has been asked a million times already.

Would it be possible to ...

incorporate IE7 in your next update pack and maybe WMP 11 too? Just wondering, that's all. Would be nice if you did, though. Thanks in advance, take care.

Arguing, on Ryan's back? Who said any of that? I simply stated that I do not agree with WGA, and that my only hope is it will be removed from the next update pack; completely. So.. just calm down my friend.

It's not in the latest pack? Are you sure about that, because it's been causing me nothing but hell. Edit: By the way, WGA altogether is just not good. Whether or not it is true, but there has been some speculation about the WGA plugin contacting a Microsoft server every hour on the hour with most i...

Well, not to sound rude or anything. But what I don't understand is why it was added in the first place. Like, just why? It is such a pointless item that does nothing but complicate people's lives. I'm not complaining, because I really do appreciate your work, but the WGA plugin was not neccessary i...

Thanks for the replies. But what about that file I downloaded yesterday, the "RVMAddonsWGA_1.5.540.0.cab"? What exactly is it for and what does it do? Is it the same thing and just an alternative, or something completely different?

Lol, yes "crapping out" means that setup kept on coming to a hault each and every time it was trying to copy that file. If it's a known problem, then that reassures me of the fact that it's not only me. Hopefully the problem will addressed sooner than later. Thanks for the reply.

Ok. What is going on here? Somebody help me out.

I don't know what's going on, but my Windows installation keeps on crapping out at the exact same spot -- "WgaLogin.dll" -- every single time. I have the latest SP2 update pack, along with a WGA removal addon pack. I've tried integrating the pack in so many different ways; updates before other updat...
