I just confirmed that the "SWF files cannot open by IE" issue in Sept. and Oct. pack has been solved in the latest, Nov. update pack! Ryan you are the MAN!! Thanks a lot for your excellent job! And I'm curious on how you managed to do this... It would be great if you can give some brief intro on you...

Ryan, I was confused in that situation. I wanted to rename it as "MU Disabler", cos I didnt remove any dll files, just datastore.edb. You can re-enable MU without downloading files, just a few clicks. Maybe I should rename it to RVM_MU_DisableAddon or RVM_MU_DisablerAddon. What do you guys think? M...

I found a mistake in my method that completely removed the Windows Update link. I've corrected it to simply remove the new Microsoft Update link. I made a new integrated ISO with Oct. pack and then did exactly as the updated solution you had pointed out in this thread and installed it on my laptop ...

Appreciate your clear description of the solution, 5eraph! I suspect I have to manually do that each time when completing the update pack integration in the future... :?

[Req] Can Microsoft Update be provided as add-on

I have problems with MU (High CPU 100% usage of svchost.exe process) after a fresh install of Sept./Oct. pack and after searching with google I found out that it was an issue with MU and the fix was converting MU back to Windows Update via microsoft update site. After doing this the problem was fixe...

A new update about this issue: I just installed IE7 and it can open SWF files now (Sept. pack)! Therefore I can make sure that this is a problem with IE6 of the update packs.. As i will use IE7 add-on, I am hoping that I will not be encountering any problem on opening SWF files with next pack + IE7 ...

One input from me: With 3rd-party web browsers with IE as the core the problem still persists. For example, with Sep. or Oct pack both IE and Maxthon browser cannot open SWF files. Since Maxthon has disabled IE ActiveX "blocker" (the thing referred to as a patch from MS that requires an extra mouse ...

I have encountered exactly the same problem with you. The Sep. and Oct. update packs seem to have some problems with Adobe Flash Player, since IE cannot open SWF files, as well as some flash media on certain websites. I also tested Aug. and Jul. packs but found no problem with them. Ryan or anybody,...
