mr_smartepants, With respect to your answer to Zoom7000 above, on June5, because I also had the same question: Does it matter if I do all that extraction, addition, and recompression with WinRAR, since I don't use 7zip. Doing so, I wind up with an addon named NR_IE7en_Addon_1.0.6.rar, hoping that wi...

"ripping on bush is cool!!!!" Yep, and that's all it is... just sooooo cool! Strictly for really cool dudes! This thread will no doubt be pulled, as it should be, for inappropriate purpose and content, but not before I get to say "We have a President better than we deserve." One of the things I like...

I had the same thing happen several months ago and within "several days" on either side of it, also had Nlite breaking off inexplicably during hotfix phase, and integrator inexplicably accessing my active windows share and trying to start a new complilation. At the same time I found that I could mak...

And does in require choosing ProvideDefault mode in winnt.sif, or will it work if one chooses FullUnattended or one of the "read only" modes. I read the whole page you linked us to, and pardon me if I didn't find the answer to this question, but I didn't, and really feel the need to know. Thanks Ase...

An afterthought: "Pause" in any program usually leaves the program locked, does it not? So if "Pause" is going to make Windows deny me to copy, then "Pause" is not the answer. "Pause & unlock?" Sounds complicated. Maybe an "RVM Integrator MINUS" version, that just does part of the work and then quit...

Ahem! . . . Moving right along . . . Mrs Peel, I too appreciate your fine taste in applets, and right now I believe you could give me some good advice about Font utilities. I love all those fonts you put up, can't resist a single one of them, but of course, I must do something about the vast number ...

I've just read Zacam's post, and have some more clues, namely that, come to think of it, I was trying to integrate a different XPCD. I had just bought a fresh OEM copy of XP PRO preparatory to firing up the self-assembled new computer I mentioned. Then, on the old machine, with the new XPCD, I was t...

Eyepopping revelation to see that some others were having this problem. I thought it was just my weirdo computer, and I have just switched over to the new Asus I've been building for weeks. The programs are working splendidly now. Here is what was happening: using RVM Integrator 1.05, RVM UpdPack 20...

Here's a cheerful thought: in a few more months, XP will have SP3 available. That will probably make the HighMat issue go away. But WGA (or it's equivalent) will never go away, nor will Updates ever bee unnecessary. So RyanVM Update Packs will never go away (Please, TELL me they will never go away!!...

OK, I just changed my vote from "Yes" to "No". They argue well who say that the UDP is built for Hotfixes and Addons and Program Addons are sui generis -- they are "their own thing" and the thing of those who choose them because they really want them in their setup. "For everything, there is a seaso...
