roirraW, thanks for that link. I never knew that the taskbar responded to middle clicks :p Personally I got stuck on Windows 7 since a video card change left xp bluescreening on boot, while 7 worked fine. When I finally got around to booting into safe mode to install new drivers, a couple of months ...

If xpize had command line parameters for the I386 patching you could always use the advanced settings and add it to the "Run Program After Integration" setting. Personally I wrote myself a autoit script to patch my cd automatically since the command line parameters to do so allegedly vanished in som...

hrm. I thought about that, but I figured it was in there by default since bliss.jpg was using it. Edit: Looking at my original disc I guess it must have been something weird I did earlier. Anyway, fixed and update the download; thanks 5eraph :) Also, these wallpapers are quite similar: http://www.x-...

1. It's generally best to start with a clean source. If you plan on updating your CD often it might be a good idea to write some batch scripts and avoid manually messing with the source files, so that you can rebuild it easier. 2. That depends on the addon you're integrating. The update packs will o...

If you just get the theme files into the install somehow, $OEM$/svcpack/something you can set the default theme by putting something like this in winnt.sif
Code: Select all
[Shell]
CustomDefaultThemeFile="%WinDir%\Resources\Themes\SomeTheme.theme"

For the record, no "fix addon" has EVER fixed this error when using addons in RVMi. I either have to use nlite to disable SFC - OR skip RVMi entirely and just use nlite to integrate addons. This is the MSDN XP SP3 native VLK. I ABSOLUTELY know I am not alone with this problem, but very surprised no...

well, you could make your own .inf and run it the same way nlite.inf is run. If you want to make an addon you could use something like this for the entries.ini [general] builddate = 26/05/2008 description = Service Configurations language = English title = Services version = 1.0.0 [sysoc] Servconf=o...

crashfly, nLite does it by setting the "start" value of each service in nlite.inf HKLM,"SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Messenger","Start",0x00010021,4 HKLM,"SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient","Start",0x00010021,4 HKLM,"SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TrkWks","Start",0x00010021,3 HKLM,...

pcguy, those would go in a .bat or .cmd file :) The reason they are separate is because I don't know of a way to put %windir% in a .reg file. If you know that you're gonna install to C:\Windows you could just put [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\vcdrom] "ImagePath"="\??\C:\WINDOWS\s...
