I've just seen you changed the instructions about the integrations. I don't have that in my DOSNET.INF : [OptionalSrcDirs] svcpack These entries don't appear at all. Here is how it is : [RootBootFiles] txtsetup.sif setupldr.bin,$LDR$ ntdetect.com ntldr [Files] d1,RVMUpPck.cab d1,RVMUpPck.inf d1,uset...

Ryan, can you help us to find out the reason of that problem ? You have created the pack so you may be able to know.

Thank you :)

So the thing would be to discover the difference we had between our installs which explains why svcpack.inf is not executed.

Well, to continue the discussions we had in the other thread about the kb*.cat files missing in windows\system32\catroot (that'd explain then why Qfecheck complains about the catalog) ... i've wondered if the fact Ryan's pack was integrated using nLite made a difference. I do it manually (i never us...

Ahh right ;)

Well, another wish (still about the translated pack) would be to discover what "The following files are not valid in the system catalog" really means with Qfecheck. We're not still 100% sure that the hotfixes are properly installed.

I have no wish in particular. However, seeing all the new extra stuff coming for the next versions, i'd like you keep the lite version with the hotfixes *only* .. just as you do now ;) Good thing you asked me, otherwise I would have changed it  Yeah because it's much easier to translate t...

Yes, everything is correct and there is not any problem in that message of the catalog, because the files of the catalog are correctly in svcpack.inf and *.cat in the directory svcpack. I believe that the problem is qfecheck and non english O.S. Appears the hotfix KB885835 in Windows Update? Has yo...

Thanks Jander. Before this modification with sp2.cab, for which hotfixes did you get "This hotfix should be reinstalled" message ? And what software did you use to update the CAB ? I use Winrar but it opens and extract only the CAB.

So you think the problem comes from your pack or just the fact we use non-US O.S. ?

Okay... I went back and did a complete rebuild of the CD. This time I didn't slipstream SP1 and then SP2 to the Windows XP CD. I went straight from Gold to SP2. Then I added the full 1.0.4 pack. I have one critical update sitting now. The other two I had earlier are not there anymore, but KB836528,...

@ Ryan : I've done another test by integrating the original lite pack, Qfecheck gives me the *exact* same results again. It seems to have worked without changing the building date so you're probably right. Anyway, when i create my ISO using CDimage.exe, i reset all the files date to 08/23/2001, 09:00:00. Hello,

Does the tcpip.sys in the pack is hacked to acceped more than the 10 connections ? If not :

- Would you do it for the next release pack ?
or
- Can i hack it myself safely ? The checkum would change. I may need to use modifyPE.exe too .. What would be the method ?

Thank you.

By the way, there are two [components] sections. Does the rank cares ? Look at there : http://poubellelqt...

To make a translation pack you first have to know what RyanVm's update pack really does, some updates may change in future, so you have to learn the Windows Setup Process 8) Ok, now some explanation about RyanVM's files: sysoc.inf Tells Windows Setup to install RyanVmUpPck.inf during installation. ...

French pack

Hello all, Like i said on MSFN, i may be interested to make the pack in french (the lite version only). So i'd like to know how to remplace the hotfixes by the french ones. Also, i wonder what modifications must be done to sycoc.inf. I compared yours, Ryan, with the one from XP SP2 french CD. There'...
