So I sent a support ticket to mediafire staff and I hope someone there can give me a straight, clear answer.

Mediafire login problem [resolved]

I have been quite happy using mediafire, both for downloading and uploading files, until today. Unfortunately, their new web UI is giving me trouble. I cannot login to my account. default addon switch provided by u_h is already -ai
If that is the case, extract the config.txt file from the 7zsfx and check to see that the AutoInstall "-ai" line is using the /qn switch with the msi.
If it is, then that is the behavior for that msi.

InstEd, rebuild CABs: change MSZip to LZX compression.

Is there a way to have InstEd rebuild cabs using LZX compression?
I looked for an option but found nothing.
Is there some small hack to accomplish this or a better way to build the cabs once the msi has been modified?

After thinking about it for a while since my previous post, if the 3rd party software compatibility problem and security issues can be resolved, then removing the version info from About would be fine. One less thing to think about. I've been using the Aurora build and it's OK.

I just tried updating the VC10 portion of it with the stock installer and my addon ended up about twice the size of yours.
