caused problems with directory names and serious corruptiion in many windows ui's including Add Remove Programs on my XP sp3 machine.

I rolled back to:
KB2616879 msftedit.dll v.5.41.21.2512

which works fine.

Seems Oracle has silently updated Java 7u7 from b10 to b11.

The only file I noticed changed ( more than just the version number and date of digital signature ) is:

jfxwebkit.dll

which now has this size:

Apparently showing the FinishMessage for an unattended installation was considered a bug and so this was "fixed" in version 2485.
And yes, this was "fixed" in the 1.4 and 1.6 lines as well.
