Of loopt WMP11 NL a...

Would anyone be so kind to PM me working links to this software? Microsoft Update has a strange (wrong) way for detecting Office updates (only checking registry entries, not real files on the system).

Where did you find Ryan's April pack? It's not out yet... (I believe)
Here you can find the latest version (currently March).
I could download the pack from all 3 mirrors without any problems.

After a fresh installation KB920342 is listed in Microsoft Update as one of the available updates (it's not the only one; but others like nVidia drivers I just disable after the first MU run), while it is in the release notes of the 2.1.10 pack. Might this be caused by nLite 1.3.5? Did I remove "too...

I'm also unable to install the .net3 framework, but with RyanVM's 2.1.9 package. More precise: I'm unable to install it from the Microsoft Update site (reproducible), but discovered that the Redistributable Package does install. Then the Update site no longer wants to install it as well. The resulti...

Actually, after a lot of hard work it turns out to be rather simple: Backup/restore: all files in c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM registry key KEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{3DA165B6-CC41-11d2-BDC6-00C04F79EC6B} Apparently, that registry key stores the unique identifier of WMP. I just performed a clean install with nLite 1.3RC2, using just RVMUpdatePack2.1.9.7z and RVMAddonsDX9_1.3.7z. Immediately after installation, Windows Update was offering 4 updates: KB917734, KB923689, KB924667, and KB905474. The last is WGA, which I understand, because I did not integrate Ryan's WGA...

Keep DRM data?
I have been using nLite/RyanVM for quite some time, but now I really hesitate to perform another clean Windows install. Since I've upgraded WMP to WMP11 I have bought several DRM-protected music tracks. Unlike WMP9/10, WMP11 is not able to backup/restore licenses (this did the trick for a clean inst...

Should probably redirect you to the nLite forum, but...
Just unpack the (drivers) executable which you can download from nVidia with WinRAR. Then you can integrate the driver like any other.
This worked with the 8X.XX series. Haven't tried 9Y.YY myself yet.
