Newb Question : Update Packs/BTS Driver Packs

Post by jnasty » Mon Mar 27, 2006 7:26 pm

First, let me thank Ryan and all of you for all the hard work that you do.
It is greatly appreciated. I'm a newb and an old fart, so be gentle.
I did an intergrate (2.0.4 update pack) and it works fantastic!
I then tried the BTS driver packs (method 3) and (kept the drivers).
I tested it, upon installation it says it can't load "XPTHT.JPG"
So I skipped the file and loaded XP anyway, worked great.
Tried out a few different hardware pieces and it found all the drivers,
you all amaze me. I'm sure I screwed up somewhere along the line,
but being a .jpg file I figured it's probably not important or is it?
I checked the i386 file and thought maybe I could delete it,
but found a number of these and figured I better talk to you guys
first. Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place. Thanks

Actually I reccommend you use method 2 on the driverpacks. As far as I know method 3 is still buggy. I may be wrong though... I haven't used Method 3 in a long time. But Method 2 saves much more space and is much faster. ;)

I have to agree with Siginet, method 2 seems to be the better way, i've been using method 2 for a good while and have never had issues with it.
