Can I delete the language folder after updateing with 2.05?

Post by citaram » Fri Apr 28, 2006 7:35 pm

Is it ok to delete the language and upgrade (Win9xupg, Winntupg, and Win9xmig) folders after applying update 2.05? bc i see that the integrator cleans up the unecessary items in the root, but not beyond. I do not plan to upgrade, but only full installs. Thanks for the help in advance.

Yes you can safely delete those folders, without any problems, I do.

I've heard that you should keep a couple files in "Winntupg" if you would like to install "Recovery Console" later.

Try using these: [Release] Remove LANG & WINNTUPG Directories Addons by Siginet.

... but the LANG folder should be kept if you want to
- change the locale settings
- change the keyboard language or
- install additional fonts to be able to read freign web pages
- run MUI setup
within an unattended setup or after the installation has been finished.
