[FIXED] Integrator v1.3 asks for CMPNENTS directory erroneou

Post by Amitri » Sun Jul 02, 2006 2:04 pm

Original Dell XP SP2 Reinstallation CD is recognised as a Media Center Edition OEM SP2 CD, it keeps searching for a CMPNENTS dir which is not on CD. Pressing Cancel at "Browse for folder" point, the rest of integration is still OK?

Your dell CD is going to give you nothing but problems. They are just not built the same. Dell adds all sorts of shit to those CD's.

While i would agree with Kel on the Dell adding shit point this would seem (the media center thing) to be related to the thread about compression problems (at least that is where i first saw mention about it looking for media center stuff..)

turns out that Sig has it lookin in the eula.txt file for mediacenter info.. even though that same eula covers more than JUST mediacenter :)

good luck,

OK... I think I know a different way I can confirm Media Center or your dell cd. Can you send me these files from your dell cd:

dpcdll.dll, layout.inf, oembios.bin, oembios.cat, oembios.dat, oembios.sig, PIDGEN.DLL, SETUPP.INI

Between all of those files I will be able to differentiate what I need to look for. It seems dell is not using valid eula.txt files. Thx.

I get the same issue, however if I rename my ini file from xppoem.ini to integrator.ini the issue dissapears. Seems odd...

Also note, that I am not using dell cd's. I am using hologram OEM

Can those experiencing this issue with 1.3 confirm that it's fixed in 1.4? Thanks :)
