[Solved] Update Pack changes?

Post by Nightwolf81 » Thu Dec 28, 2006 8:17 am

Is there anyway I can find out what files have been changed since your previous packs?? without integrating and/or comparing files/version. Do you have a list I can access or just help me out this once?

I am trying to update my DVD but I don't want to use ANY integrator as I need it to be 100% manual (strange I know).

So if such a list can be produced using the integrator or you may have one laying around? could you post it please? :)

Thanks for any help you can offer me.

Have you tried looking at Ryan's Changelog? ;)

Not quite what I need. . . I just need the files changed (not the Hotfixes).

I have managed to do a direct file compare (by size) of the files between version 2.1.4 and 2.1.5a - I am hoping this will do me. it found 61 changed files so I am assuming this is all (I hope).

But if ryan get time to confirm it would really help me out (if he knows himself).

You can cross-reference the hotfixes listed in the changelog with the entries listed within RVMUpPck.inf v2.1.5. That's about the best way to see what files have been changed or added between releases.

Yeah, I don't track changed files. Diffing by size is probably the best option (though it may not be fool proof). If you can, diffing by date modified would probably be more reliable. Or you can always just integrate one pack over the other. It won't hurt anything :)

why not try Beyond Compare?
and a plugin for it, to compare the different PE files versions.

I liked that tool. Compression methods are intelligent.
