Updated Adobe Flash Player to version 9.0.45.0.
Updated European Union Expansion Font Update to version 1.2.
Updated KB927891 Hotfix.
Updated Malicious Software Removal Tool to version 1.29.
Updated Microsoft Update to version 7.0.6000.374.

For the love of God, read the nLite or Integrator directions for how to properly integrate this pack.

Notes

nLite 1.3 or RyanVM Integrator 1.4.3 is required to properly integrate this release.
If you used nLite to integrate the pack and are having problems, PLEASE read this thread before reporting problems.

Known Issues

Some people are still having problems installing products which include MSXML6 (such as Visual Studio 2005) due to the presence of the MSXML6 SP1 DLL on the system. The simplest solution for this problem is to download and install the MSXML6 SP1 MSI prior to installing whatever software is trying to install MSXML6.
Yes, setuperr.log whines about plugin.ocx being missing. This is intended behavior. See the FAQ for more information.

If you do run into anything you think is an error, be sure to consult with the FAQ on my site before asking about it here.

Yea, it seems to help the install of .NET 3.0. All I did was only include this new update and tried WU on a new install to get only .NET 3.0 and it failed. Then I installed the above MSXML update then tried WU again to get .NET 3.0 and it succeeded. Anyone know a good way to include this somehow so it doesn't need to be installed manually to get the 3.0 install working?

Ryan, I have a question. After making a new install with only v2.1.10 I noticed 3 old updates wanted to be installed in WU. KB917734, KB923689, & KB891122. They dealt with WMP9, a security update, & WMDRM. Should I worry about these or are they just particular to my hardware setup? Think they'll get superseded by any MP addons or whatnot?

Simply because of the great demand immediatly afteer release and a few great a-holes out there that hammer his server with over 1000 requests per min effectively shutting down the server and really pissing off his host.

i'm just an observer, but i believe ryan said that the mass-requests were from the same IP block and ISP, so i think it's safe to say that someone was deliberately trying to DoS ryan's host server...for what reason? beats me...all i can say is, i hope it stems the abuse, if only temporarily...

drifting back on-topic, another outstanding release, ryan...i have no bugs or oddities to report

As you've already figured out, yes, installing MSXML6 SP1 from the MSI "fixes" .NET 3.0 from MU. Otherwise, my .NET 3.0/AIO installers also work fine with it (due to me updating MSXML6 to SP1 in them anyway).

As the FAQ clearly states, then Ryan's pack dosen't include WMP9 updates

After a fresh installation KB920342 is listed in Microsoft Update as one of the available updates (it's not the only one; but others like nVidia drivers I just disable after the first MU run), while it is in the release notes of the 2.1.10 pack. Might this be caused by nLite 1.3.5? Did I remove "too much"?

This comes from removing "Peer to Peer" under "Networking".

I didn't get a update for a KB931906. One of the files listed is a CAPICOM.dll, but I can't find that file on any of my computers.

FYI, I've given up on .htaccess blacklisting. Instead, I'm just reporting the offending IP addresses to my host and they're firewalling them before they even have a chance to hit my server. Of course, that all means those IPs will have no access to any ryanvm.net addresses, not just the download server.

Oh, and I'm still trying to hunt down what specifically triggers MU wanting to install the CAPICOM update. I think it's .NET 3.0, but I haven't confirmed it yet.
