Three Missing Files On Setup

Post by GasPipeJimmy » Tue Jul 03, 2007 11:53 pm

My integrated XP install keeps erroring out and telling me that I'm missing the following three files when I test my install on MS virtual machine.

AMDK7.sys
mssmbios.sys
tunmp.sys

I can proceed with the install by hitting the escape key, but when I get into the GUI portion of the install (T-15) I get another error that states:

Windows cannot load the Internet configuration library (ICFGNT.DLL)
The following error occurred:
The specified module could not be found.

I have been wrestling with this problem for the last few days and have both searched here and on google and have also read the site FAQ and have not found any solutions.

This is how I'm doing the integration :

1. Clean unaltered XP Pro source
2. nLite to slipstream SP2 into source
3. Boooggy's WMP11 installer with the following hot fixes:
kb928788
kb929773
kb932390
kb935551
kb929399
kb931756
kb933547
kb935552

4. Ryan's RVMUpdatePack2.1.11.7z with RVMAddons_1.8.2.7z, RVMAddonsWGAN_1.7.18.5a.7z, RVMAddonsDX9_1.4.7z, and NR_IE7en_Addon_1.0.6a.7z and integrated with RVM_Integrator_1.4.3

5. nLite again to remove the extrta language packs and associated foreign language keyboards.

6. BTS DP base 7.05.2 with the chipset 7.06, DPLAN 7.06.2, DP Mass Storage 7.07.1, DriverPack WLAN 7.06

7. RVM_Integrator_1.4.3 to make the ISO

This is my last log:

Update: No Change

I started again from the beginning and instead of using boooggy's integrator I used the add on.
No change in problem and the same three files are missing.

I would reccomend you to start from the beginning. Use only the integrator first for the updatepack and addons. Then test. If you have the issue still... then start over with only the updatepack and test, then add each addon and test. If there is no problem then move to DP_Base, then nLite.

That's usually caused by a corrupted driver.cab, for the record

You are totally right Ryan:

Code: Select all

If you look at the time you will see... recompiling his driver.cab file was performed at the speed of lightning.

Here is what is wrong:
17:05:06 - Working Directory = E:\XPCD (Final)\I386
v1.4.3 of the integrator is known to be picky about certain symbols in a directory path. Try again but remove the () from the name of your path. I am pretty certain you won't have anymore issues then.

This problem with the integrator is allready fixed in the upcomming release of the integrator. v1.5

OK!
I'll try that tonight and let you know how it goes.
Thank you again Siginet.

In the meantime I have tried all other combination and have removed all of the add ons and BTS's driver pack and no nLite.
I hope this is the magic bullet. :D

I just finished testing it and it works SPECTACULARLY well!
Damn, that fixed a lot of problems too; all of my problems!
I now no-longer have inexplicable size issues with my installation disk either. It is now only about 620MB. :D
