Hotfix KB893056 is superseeded by KB893226, however information about applying some register modifications should be added to RyanVM's update pack v1.3?

Also I think it should be possible to have the Tablet Edition up2date by adding KB884861 to RyanVm's pack, or are the Tablet Edition CD's that different?

inkobj.dll isn't on the XP CD. Other than that minor detail...

I have inkobj.dl_ located in the following directory cmpnents\TABLETPC\i386

It's on the XP Pro SP2 CD

I have found out the Tablet PC Edition is an addition to the original XP Professional like MCE is also an addition. They share the same parts

There's a guy who's been emailing them to me as he finds them. Like you, I also subscribe to kbAlertz. I'm not all at impressed with them

. Apparently their indexing doesn't even come close to doing the job fully.

Once I've got some free time, I'm going to spend a few hours just searching the MS KB with all the various keywords that hotfixes have shown up under and see if I can find any more.

KB890841 DTS packages fail with an unspecified error on a computer that is running Windows XP Service Pack 2
KB884038 FIX: You receive an "Ini File is corrupt" error message when you try to configure a Text DSN in MDAC 2.8 SP1

If I missed some .NET or XP updates please tell me so I can update the first post. It should cover all updates which should be added in Ryan's 1.2.1 pack.

Luckely Microsoft didn't release any hotfixes through Windows Update this month so we have to deal with it

Oh, I also got ahold of Windows Installer 3.1 RC1, but I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to put it in 1.2.1 or just wait for the final release.

File versions are 3.1.4000.1277 in case you cared to know.

For most of the hotfixes in the pack are not offically released by Microsoft.

I'm inclined to agree. For most practical purposes, most of the hotfixes in my pack could be considered beta anyway

I have no plans at all to add .NET. I do add the hotfixes to my switchless installer, though. Of course, the last updated date on the front page will let you know when it's been updated.

I have updated first post with the .Net updates. However some fixes have lower build numbers??? I didn't include those yet. The catalog of .Net fixes seems like a mess to me.

keytotime, do you have also KB884861 on your hdd?

BTW, the .NET updates are for the switchless installer. I don't think I should have started a new topic for those updates.
