Update for Root Certificates - 25/05/09

Post by Oron123 » Mon May 25, 2009 2:12 pm

Came out today.
This goes especially for update pack makers.
An advice for life: Do not argue with people who have no knowledge.
They aren't aware of what they say/write and will drag you down to their level.

Though, the file wasn't actually updated (same hash as what I already have in my update pack - 4d4c0021ed0a2b2289550931fbe0e318)

Since I use this link, reported in the HFslip hotfix list, I always get the latest version, even before the download center.
http://download.windowsupdate.com/msdow ... otsupd.exe

Latest version is root certificate update 21, with this md5 hash.

Maybe it can help.

applying the latest rootsupdate that has the MD5: 7ebcd0ecb458deef880aa0bd8766a2f4 will result in MU prompting to reinstall KB931125 again.

so it seems that MU is not ready for the latest version since it was only released today. the actual MU download sends the old update but all links point to the latest released today where you can direct download the new version.

we wait and see.....

edit (20090526): now shows properly in MU
