nLite 0.99.8 beta 4 contains some serious fixes about WFP and KB887742 appearance on Windows Update. Go check it out

If you prefer to use WFP, don't select WMI service for removal!

Tjobzz, I use custom version numbering for the following reasons:
- Dutch Update Pack does not contain all updates and all 3rd party programs Ryan includes with the English pack. Difference in version numbering should make this clear.
- Dutch update pack numbering is easy to understand. Every month or so new pack will come out.
For all, there seems some problem while using latest nLite 0.99.9 to integrate the Dutch update pack. Please make sure all files in the I386 and subdirectories have the READ-ONLY flag removed.

Today I completed the pack. However there is one major problem:
nLite integration
Here some information about the pack:
- Almost 90 hotfixes against 114 in the English pack (Remember, I won't request Dutch hotfixes as long as I personally don't have issues with it. If you have a missing Dutch hotfix, please PM me.)

Hi,
I succesfully managed to integrate the 02/05 updatepack with latest nLite 0.99.9.
In order to do that I had to modify the 02/05 updatepack because RyanVM and Nuhi changed their integration method. See RyanVM's changelog:
So the trick I used was to expand the updatepack, delete the _cabupdate.exe, copy the _integrate.exe and entries.txt files and then cabarc all the files to a new updatepack.cab file.
Before I did that I also modified the contents of the entries.txt file so that the HD audio entries were deleted.
I hope this helps in getting the 04/05 pack released. I'm looking forward to it.
Regards,
Rob

In order to do that I had to modify the 02/05 updatepack because RyanVM and Nuhi changed their integration method. See RyanVM's changelog:
Code: Select all
# ALL: Renamed _cabupdate.exe to __integrate.exe and improved its upgrade functionality.
Before I did that I also modified the contents of the entries.txt file so that the HD audio entries were deleted.
I hope this helps in getting the 04/05 pack released. I'm looking forward to it.
Regards,
Rob
For the record, entries.txt is only used with nLite. __integrate.exe just deletes it when it runs

New version still throws up the access denied error message in nLite 0.99.9, causing some files not to get copied. Anyone else experiences this problems?
See this topic for explanation and solution.
Well, you have to deal with it. Or use manual integration (best option).
Fixed a couple of bugs today, suspect release tomorrow.
New filesize is 31.1 MB's, I'm using Microsoft's compression method this time, is somewhat faster than maximum compression on install. For people having problems with it -> try dvd.
Update:
Last test using nLite 0.99.9 beta

So the pack that will be released within a few days will be compatible with the latest version of Nlite???
I have also a question about the integrated tweaks. I now can't acces the windows firewall service in XP (service: Windows Firewall (WF) / Internet-verbinding delen (ICS)). But i did not disable the function in Nlite. Is it a regtweak within the pack?
