possibility of using storahci driver?

Post by infuscomus » Sat Nov 03, 2018 2:05 pm

I noticed using dependency walker that storahci.sys and win2003 storport.sys show green for imported functions, so i decided to try and test in a VM, load it in XP txtmode setup.

I got up to "Setup is starting Windows"

then 7F BSOD - damn
attempt to load storahci.sys in XP

do you think there is any possibility of getting this to work for XP?

So what did you do in order to get it to work? And what is the benefit of using it?

Cheers and Regards

I'm not the author of this, so I can't take credit for this

This is a generic ahci driver, so storage controllers without XP drivers can work

Yep, Dietmar is the man! If he can't figure it out, I don't think it can be done. Glad you got it working.

Cheers and Regards
