"The Great Windows 7 Post-SP1 Update Pack List"
Here the best Post SP3 Update Packs for Windows 7 32/64 are listed.
You should edit the above: "Post SP3 Update Pack" should be corrected to read: "Post Sp1 Update Pack" - minor typo.
Posted: Sun Apr 10, 2011 10:33 pm
This thread should be cross-referencing the MSFT spreadsheet that accompanies SP1.
All fixes in SP1 are listed in that spreadsheet.
Grab the XLS from the SP1 documentation web page
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/d ... laylang=en
And here is the official from msft download page for Win7/Server 2k8 SP1.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/d ... 9B77CDFDDA
It's unwise to grab OS patches from any place other than the original makers sites......

Another typo - Should be "Post SP1
EDIT: Sorry, this is what ChiefZeke was talking about - he beat me to it.

I've started my own listing of the updates. I found several errors in this "pack". If there's interest i'll post my list eventually (bit busy real life with school for right now), but i think most here know how to check for redundancies by now.

SoLoR's pack is by far the most complete and battle-tested of the Win7 updates floating around:
Official discussion thread on My Digital Life Forums: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/thread ... repository
-- All update d/l's come in x86 and x64 flavors.
-- As the discussion thread link well-indicates, this is a very high-profile pack that gets extensive and rigorous daily testing. Including by a lot of fellow RVM Forums members.
-- Includes all of the "secret" or unannounced updates that MS doesn't push through WU, much like OnePiece's XP pack does.
-- Includes downloads of all optional components (IE9, Virtual PC, old .CHM-based MSHELP, etc.) that can be integrated directly via WU .MSU files in RT7lite.
-- Includes downloads of all optional components (.NET 4, Silverlight, DirectX runtimes, Windows XP Mode for Virtual PC) installable from .EXE/.MSI installers or makeable into switchless installers.
-- The testing process filters out duplicates, superseded updates, ones intended for Win Server 2K8 that are superfluous on Win7, etc. MS unfortunately has conflicting spaghetti documentation on a lot of updates, esp. the optional/non-WU ones, so the extensive testing does a pretty bulletproof job filtering out the superfluous ones.
-- Very detailed changelog/contents list.
-- Updated daily as-needed. Lots of MS update d/l's, esp. the unannouced/non-WU updates, don't follow a Patch Tuesday release schedule and come out at random times. The pack will usually be updated in 24-48 hours when a new update is available.
All of the .MSU files in the pack are also extractable with 7Zip into their component CAB's for integration in DISM, WSIM, or OnePiece's DXIntegrator (RT7 can also handle the bare CAB's in lieu of the the .MSU's).

YES! All updates for Windows 7 are language independent.
That is, you can install it for each language version.
(Except from the IE9 Send Message Pack, which is in German)
@ Trance energy
If you publish a pack, tell me, a listing here, please secure.
But you may tell me what error you have found exactly. ?
I could find was like any other pack in a "DrWindows" further updates.
And the aforementioned IE9's just in German.
The English as IE9 msu / exe + Lang's (MSU) Is there at Microsoft.
This sounds really interesting.
Just such a pack I was looking for.
Unfortunately, the registration of the site is disabled.
Additional links and uploads it?

These are the Additions on SoLoR's list that are integrateable directly in RT7 (or, if you extract the CAB's from the .MSU's with 7Zip, in DXIntegrator or DISM/WSIM):
-- MS Help
-- Win File Mgt. API
-- System Update Readiness Tool
-- Virtual PC + Hotfixes (but not
the XP Mode .EXE installer)
-- MS Agent
-- Win Identity Foundation + Hotfixes
-- Browser Ballot
These are listed on SoLoR's updates changelog in red
text. The KB numbers all match up to the downloads in the Additions folder.
These Additions are only available as the MS-download .EXE installers in the Additions folder and are not listed on SoLoR's changelog:
-- Bing Bar
-- DirectX Runtimes
-- .NET 4 Client or Extended, x86 or x64
-- Windows Live Games
-- XP Mode
-- MS Security Essentials (navigate up to the parent folder on the site to grab that)
SoLoR only provides these as-is from the MS downloads site to put the very latest versions in one place. They aren't switchless installers; you would have to manually make those to integrate in RT7 or DXIntegrator (DXIntegrator requiring an entries.ini file). n0ak has a switchless for .NET x64 here on the forums, and there are plenty of others posted for x86. Yumeyao has a switchless here for DirectX (x86 or x64). If you use DXIntegrator you can use OnePiece's true addon .NET (x86 only) and Silverlight addons and get a cleaner integration than a switchless.
Note that XP Mode can't run in a VM, only a live install. So I don't know what its silent switches are for making a switchless installer.
There's also a switchless here
for Windows Live Essentials (page is in Italian, with the d/l link at the top). It's already got the DXI entries.ini so can integrate it as-is in DXIntegrator. Or you can extract the switchless .EXE and integrate in RT7.
Except for MS Update (which nobody's yet done a Win7 switchless or addon for), pretty much all of the MS additions are available in some form for an integration, although obviously for several of them you've got to d/l one of the available switchless installers here on the forums.

(or, if you extract the CAB's from the .MSU's with 7Zip, in DXIntegrator or DISM/WSIM):
You don't need to extract msu for DXIntegrator, DXIntegrator recognize msu correctly
Thank you for the detailed explanation.
Now it's easier to see what is really there.
For the rest of the components I wanted. these benefits:
- AiO-runtime-x86-v1.6.2 (Sereby)
- ELiTE_Addon_Microsoft Security Essentials 20 670
I should pay for something there or can I integrate it all with DXInt?
The entris.inis this lie. partly as svcpack folder, partly as a Silent-Int.
Posted: Mon Apr 25, 2011 1:20 pm
All svcpack addons can be directly integrated in Win 7/Vista using DXI.
Third party true addons need only slight modifications but Onepiece's true addon are DXI-compliant too.

Ahh yeah, thx.
"Slight modifications" - For example u mean parameter like "-silent" ?

You can find a link to some Windows AIK/OPK videos in my sig if you feel they are pertinent

I don't know if it's been cross-posted here yet, but OnePiece has got a brand new DXI True Addon for DirectX runtimes out now: http://www.eng2ita.net/forum/index.php/ ... 431.0.html
(forum page in Italian).
Includes BOTH x86 and x64 runtimes (April 2011 update) + DirectX Managed Code, and works in DXI or RVMI. So basically covers every single platform and integrator under the sun in one Addon (XP/XPx64/2K3/2K3x64/Win7/Win7x64, DXI or RVMI). This is a big piece of the Win7 integration puzzle, and a must-have if you need that component because SoLoR only has the straight-up MS download on his site (which isn't integrateable unless you fashion your own switchless).

Question for a moment integration of "spoilers" in the forum.
This would make it easier for very much to expand lists.
Think also about the moment after inclusion of a addon list.
What is your and other add-ons, of course, will find space.
First addons will find it too well in v0.5 here.
Most small tools are included as components in larger ones.
Aim of good tools but also to be able to complete work without WAIK.
Ledegem the filter is partially mitinstalliet, because of the dependency.
(Typical Microsoft do everything with all MS depends ...
The integration of SP1 will advance set already.
As it is with the tools only a 1-click integration.
The other instructions I look at it.
Incidentally, congratulations to the video, that's really good.
Look forward to the video on integration of drivers. ;-P
Since the tools there's a lot of problems ready.
EDIT: Warez mention completely removed.

Now I saw first post second.
Very useful, integrated.

Hi guys, I am reinstalling win7 on my laptop and decided to get back into the integrating game.
I am trying to download solar's pack but all I see is a link to hotfixes as seperate downloads, is there a download link to a pack file?
Posted: Sun Oct 21, 2012 6:03 am
Solor hasn't been updating his pack for a while now. Either use
KUC Windows Update Checker or the repository from MCRip
http://forums.mydigitallife.info/thread ... epository/
Posted: Sun Oct 21, 2012 11:55 pm
yeah I fiugured it out now, there is no pack now, instead integrator apps now intergate hotfixes form downloaded ones, thanks.
I suggest updating 1st post to avoid confusion.

Argh... I don't want to have to copy everything onto a disk and build a new integrated install. The SoLoR stuff is gone. Most of the links in the original message are broken, in fact. If I download & use one of those auto-updaters from the German sites will I get German language files mixed into my English install?

I use to maintain a proper core-update pack, like OnePiece does for XP post-SP3, but all these people took their lists offline and I have to keep a repo based off registry scans from two installs in virtualbox. You have to wonder how someone lives if putting a anchor and a sentence in a bare HTML page once a month is too much responsibility... I can do it every 72 hours manually here and I have 3 different full-time jobs(one being an admin) and a demanding social life...
Must be a beta thing... I'll get one online tonight and post a link, I'll use RSS so people can sync it with curl or whatever and put it on their sites too.

@cactus you should try KUC
, should be added to the 1st topic also

Last list update was October 24 2012
I use the win32_QuickFixEngineering COM/WMI in powershell inside x64 and x32 virtualbox images based off SP1 RFM ISO installs. You gotta activate or patch WGA before you get all updates, then check and install and run the script, then collect direct links manually. This is the most streamline method, direct link automation can only be done through advanced sniffing of WU processes as they use SSL and compression; you can inline patch WU wininet calls to do this and caoture after decryption...
UPDATE: I did a list for Post-SP1 7 x64 Ultimate based off DR SP1 ISO, I can't do x86 yet cause slow connection and cpu with no VT
