Boot Directly into Classic Desktop

As a thanks to other contributors from an old WinXp-new Win8 user, hehe

A little registry tweak for guys who don't know.

You need to change "Shell" REG_SZ value in regedit. Go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

in regedit, and navigate to "Shell" value. Double click, and change

explorer.exe

to

Code: Select all

explorer.exe /select,explorer.exe

That's all.
Now your super fast booting windows machine will directly logon to your desktop.
