help me plz

Post by maverickwhistler » Fri Mar 10, 2006 9:14 am

hi
im compltely new in slipstreaming, though i use a win xp pro sp2 slipstreamed cd made for me by my friend, after sp2 gave probs after standalone installation on sp1.

i came accross this guide to "unattended installation" by MSFN accidently thru some search sites and was very fascinated by it. and from the guide found a link to ur forum.

now i have read most of ur guides, and downloaded all ur .cab files. but i have some questions which i wud like u to answer.

i came accross an article in Chip magazine in feb 06 about such unattended installation of windows xp. but it was only for windows xp and involved creating an asnwer file for all custom options like timezone, useraccount, etc.

does ur methods involve this too?

once i have added the addons, and made an iso to test, can i add more to the same or i have to start a fresh?

and can i chose custom options for installation of softwars like nero 7.014 where i dont want some softwares?
like custom installation options? will it make answer files for all?

how can i make my own addons using nlite and rvm? like to coreftp pro/lite?

and will the cumulative time to install all apcks reduce substantially as comapred to adding them manually and selecting all options?

I think it's best if you learn how to make an unattended cd, before trying to make addons. It's a pretty big learning curve. For more help on making an answer file, go to:

hey can i select partitions on my own? like now i popin my cd of sp2, its loads all setup files then asked for partiions size and type ,etc. then it starts installations. so an unattended cd will allows to select partions or will directly start installation?
